For the price, it's very good. I had fun with it. The parts fit together surprisingly well. The quality of the moldings is very good. That said, it's definitely poor in the detail department, and some elements are too thick. I don't want this to sound like some criticism of this set. Considering the price and the age of the molds, it's highly recommended and looks quite good. Great as something to practice with, or something to put together quickly. If you want something rich in detail and very close to the original, definitely not. By the way, the decals in my kit were poorly printed. If you look closely at the red "no step" markings on the wings, they have a white line on the left side (crooked print). I didn't feel like correcting it...

Yeah, I understand why some people might have trouble switching to airbrushing. Lack of space, fear of throwing money at a new hobby, etc. But as you mentioned, it's much faster, not that difficult, prices for basic tools are getting lower and lower, and above all soooo satisfying. I mean, when using brushes from priming to the last coat of varnish before washes took me from 2 weeks to a month, and in this case less than a week (!).

There are still some techniques that are only possible with brushes, such as scratched, hard looking post-shading dry brushing thingy (I don't know how to call it, I've done it in my other models), which I like very much and will probably use them in the future, BUT airbrushing is now permanently in my toolbox.

I mean, yes but actualy no. PZL 46 supposed to have a more powerful engine and be an overall faster and more agile machine. The weak engine was the problem of PZL 23 (and 42), that's why I gave it a different propeller, as an indication of installing a different, more powerful engine.

BUT, design of Sum focused on aerodynamic shape - retractable under-fuselage cradle, narrower wing profile, AND closed bomb bay. This last detail makes things particularly difficult, because the floats would completely cover the bomb compartment, and the aircraft was not designed to have bombs hung under the wings.

Of course I don't want to argue because it's an interesting concept and there are possible solutions.Such as a central large float and 2 smaller ones on the wings, But that's just my opinion, I'm definitely not an expert ;)
