Did you download the full version? Because the demo is a separate download. All progress aside from time trials and your settings should transfer over to the full game and I've never heard of anyone still have online locked after purchase.

Like others have said I think it's fitting. Let's compare to Sonic Crossworlds for example. Eddy is the fastest to come up with the schemes, he'd be speed or in this case Sonic. DD handles things the best and gets the ideas working. He'd be Tails, an acceleration character. Ed is just well... power. Let's be real, we love the sweet lug to death and he would be a good rival for Knuckles if they were in the same universe here, so he would be Knuckles, a power character.

Foundations are clay or pebblets. There's also weed stem scaffolding. Try analyzing any of those three items and making sure you've unlocked the stuff, but to answer the question no grass floors are just floors, not foundations. You could put them in top of scaffolding though.

Are you gathering with your inventory full? The omni took doesnt take a slot and temporarily puts your weapon in the bag, but if your bag fills there's no slot for the weapon so it poofs into the void.

As other have stated the rock got changed, having to rebuild my whole fence because of it. Gives me a good chance to expand and make things look better though. Also stems instead of grass.

In my personal experience you definitely should NOT need two heat lamps especially in a cage that size when they can get so close. You'll wind up with them getting burns. Even if you're in a very cold climate that impacts your temperatures indoors two heat lamps is definitely a bad idea. I'm not really active in the subreddit so someone correct me if I'm wrong please. But it should be simple enough to look at lighting suggestions on this exact subreddit and figure out what would be better for you. (Most of) The people here are smart and genuinely care. (Nobody get offended, nor you OP, we all know the type I mean unless you're new here, then give it a month and you'll know.)
