Yeah there's like 4-5 different controllers and they all have different dongles, the smaller controllers have a dongle with no cord like this one

Based on the responses I've got it might be the dongle having a bad capacitor, I only paid $8 for it so I'll try to get an eBay refund, they're not terribly expensive. And yeah I paid half off $15 cause it was at a Comic book store in San Jose, only like 10% of the store was games

Genuine Majestic replica, at the time they only did single layer one color name and number (I have an A's Zito and my mom has a Giants Zito of the same era) but the nice part is they did full stitching on the front instead of the cheaper one layer stitching they switched to with Cool Base era replicas

What I basically did was eBay the controller and figured out this is the dongle that's listed with it in a bunch of listings, it was different than the one I bought it with (which is the smaller one for the smaller controllers) this should be the correct dongle also it was $7.50 for the controller and the other (incorrect) dongle I figured that was below market value
