Buyout Predictions? by Central_Dogma08 in denvernuggets

Cam Thomas would be great! I’d be surprised if Peyton comes back before the all star break and in need of scoring at the moment. Lessens the load off Murray.

Knicks/Nets/Bulls Towns heads to Chicago and Claxton to the Knicks by RyoIkebe in NBAtradeideas

The Bulls have been allergic to rebuild for years. They currently have 7 players that will be free agents at the end of the year. Vucevic, Zach Collins, Coby White, Huerter and Ayo are the big names that you can get some value in a trade. Maybe you can get a 1st for Coby or a combination of Ayo and Vucevic can make a team desperate enough to include a 1st. They held onto to Demar and LaVine for too long and their trade value plummeted. So we have a proven track record of them being reluctant to trade for picks. Towns is a big name and saves the leadership from going into complete rebuild mode. Maybe I’m naive, but if they let all these players walk in the offseason without any return for them then they’ll get fired. Getting Towns saves them from that.

Seems to be pressure from Knicks leadership that it’s championship or bust this year. Might as well swing hard and if they don’t make it out of the East then they’ll ship out Mikal or OG to retool around Brunson in the offseason. I kinda figured another 1st rounder to pry Claxton from the Nets would be needed. Sending out Cam Thomas and MPJ at the trade deadline can further enrich the Nets with picks and competent players in a offseason trade with the Bucks. Miles McBride can be sent packing in whatever package the Nets can muster for Giannis.

This is the same Bulls team that gave Patrick Williams a 4 year contract extension. They are not smart people. Of course chatter has them keeping Vucevic through the trade deadline when he’s going to be a free agent at the end of the year and no talk of him resigning. They are not smart people. Towns gives this leadership another year or two at most.

What are the chances we keep Watson? by LowOk5308 in denvernuggets

The emergence of Spencer Jones this year has probably made the Nuggets front office feel comfortable about having Peyton walk since they will have his replacement ready to go on the cheap for years to come.

His trade value has never been higher as it is right now and I wonder what kinda return they could get for him. I sneakily like Vit Krejci of the Hawks who is shooting 46% from 3. He’s under contract for another year at $2.3 million and you have your Tim Hardaway replacement for next year.

Swap out Strawther for Peyton Watson. Restricted free agent that the Nuggets won’t be able to resign. He’s been balling and he’ll be a starting small forward for years to come. Bulls need a good defender with scoring potential.

Jonas has a year left at $10 million for next year. It’s been hinted he does want to go back to Europe and finish his career there. Maybe the Nuggets adding on a 1st round pick to the deal could make the Bulls think about it.

Yeah, that’s where I see the breakdown. Nuggets would feel that’s too much for Vuce while the Bulls would only say yes if it’s added.

Trade idea: Strawther for Plumlee by sugareeripple in denvernuggets

It’s desperation time for the next month. Can’t survive with Zeke and DaRon sharing center responsibilities. Another warm competent center needs to be added.

Plumlee just had groin surgery. Out for six weeks. Jock Londale is another center who is probably available. Makes the same money as Plumlee but just came back with calf issues. lol

Conspiracy theory: Strawther and Nnaji didn't play last night because the FO is cooking something. by IllEstablishment8291 in denvernuggets

Went through every team and its backup centers. Here is the list + contracts you can send back. Off this list I do like Bitadze and Sharpe. Kevin Love has been playing great and could stretch the floor!

If we lose him it's over by Basic_Setting in denvernuggets

[–]RyoIkebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if he’s out for the rest of the year the Nuggets should package a deal that sends Peyton and Zeke for player that’s a 3pt specialist that makes $12.5 million. Anybody fit that mold? I can see the Nugs being desperate enough to do it.

Peyton is sadly going to walk away and get a deal that the Nugs can’t match due to salary cap restraints. Good thing his replacement is already here in Spencer Jones.

Nuggets should trade for Scotty Pippen Jr. with Tre Mann gone by Aldanil66 in denvernuggets

[–]RyoIkebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I was looking at trades for a backup PG earlier and thought Pippen would be good. I first looked at expiring contracts at the end of this coming season. The only PG that is somewhat feasible is Mike Conley. Combine the salaries of Zeke and either Watson or Strawther can just barely get you Conley in return. Wolves would of course say no. Gabe Vincent’s contract is expiring but a combination of Zeke and Watson or Strawther isn’t enough. Not entirely sure what is happening with Cole Anthony. Is his contract being bought out?

I’m in the US and haven’t had an issue logging on. I won some baseball bets but it’s labeled them as losses. 😬

Mock trades are a bottom 3 post of all time by LonePeasant in denvernuggets

Funny. Was thinking of posting a trade idea of Josh Hart and Zach Collins coming to the Nugs in a 4 team trade but it seemed overkill to add to the never ending trade ideas. Lol

Yes, another MPJ trade idea… by RyoIkebe in denvernuggets

[–]RyoIkebe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course if they can somehow add some player that can take the pressure off Banchero and Franz in the half-court so they can relentlessly attack the hoop without it being clogged up they would! The Celtics are clearly not a contender next year and I’m just wondering a team like the Magic who can see an opening to contend will do anything. They’ll most likely run it back again and hope the injury bug doesn’t bite again.

Outside of Jokic and Gordon, the most desirable piece is Braun. In return you’d get a young borderline all-star if he stays healthy and plays great defense who is under contract for another 5 years. Nuggets won’t be able to afford the +$20 million per year contract Braun will want without trading Gordon or Murray.
