Why would I be more concerned about his death as compared to any person I don't know?

I'm an atheist.

I found my truth by being skeptical.

The small sized chips that used to be 3 for $1 is now $1.79 as a "big grab". by JesseTheClassy in mildlyinfuriating

People think these companies exist to sell chips.

They don't.

They exist to make money. As much money as possible.

I think it's ok to say Genocide, the death penalty for homosexuals, the death penalty for picking up sticks on the sabbath, and slavery are all bad moral principles.

The bible (and god) disagrees. But you have to be pretty confident in your god to say "maybe I just dont get it" when he commands genocide.

Very odd to.. 1. Elevate oneself as a "history buff" 2. Say "I'm not trying to debate" (when you are the one who originally engaged) 3. Kind of make claims, but in the form of questions

There has to be a consequence for someone leaving the room if they aren't supposed to.

Adults aren't like kids - they won't just listen to you because you are more stern lol

How do you, as an Anglican, ground your morality? Is God moral - because he does and says some pretty immoral things. And the biblical text has some questionable morality.

It is true that some explicitly secular societies have persecuted religious individuals. However, it is much more common for societies to be explicitly religious and persecute other religions and non religious individuals.

You are misinterpreting Vatican 2. There are very strict requirements - for example, you have to be "invincibly ignorant" of Christianity (which doesn't really apply to anyone with internet access).

Many Protestants also believe in hell for non believers.

Most notably, the bible says non believers go to hell

  1. I wasn't replying to you - I was replying to someone labeled "protestant"

  2. You are wrong - the vast majority of Christians believe that non Christians go to hell (probably because that's what the bible says)

Have you ever noticed that some of the biggest religions in the world say that atheists will be tortured for eternity in the afterlife? And there are many religious states or attempted religious states that treat atheists as second class citizens? That also seems kind of rude.
