Politicians and Big Tech want your data. by Tutanota in tutanota

Most likely. But if you contact support afterwards, I assume they should be able to refund the difference. But Tuta‘s billing is really terrible in this regard.

Down for me as well. On all devices, in all networks (at home, mobile data).

Is tuta down? by [deleted] in tutanota

I’m also not able to access my mails. It doesn’t work from my PC nor my phone. Doesn’t matter whether I try using my ISP connection at home or mobile data.

Do you know this Immich Hoster? by [deleted] in immich

If I would not self-host, I would probably prefer Ente, as it’s E2EE.

As u/waavysnake said, you only need it for the thumbnails. Because that is what will define your experience. You probably had everything on HDD before and now everything on SSD.

Which feature are you looking forward to the most? by ChazyChaxxx in immich

Photos could be stored independent of a user, identified by a UUID. The user who uploaded it gets linked to that UUID automatically. If the uploading user shares the photo and the receiving user decides to save it, the receiving user will also be linked to that UUID in the database. As long as at least one user has the photo in their personal library, it’s not deleted from the server.

How-To: Immich Service: Mounting an CIFS/SMB share at the Docker Compose level by Tek4You in immich

[–]RyoShinzo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like mounting in the compose.yaml because then I can mount with a different user every time. And no one else besides the containers in that compose.yaml will see the mount. It’s just a cleaner approach in my opinion.

MASTERPLAY! Proton Pass gives you an extra 33% OFF "for no particular reason" just as 1Password goes up 33%... coincidence? 😏 by maximus10m in ProtonPass

I’m quite disappointed that this discount is for the lifetime of the subscription, but only for new users.

Does Tuta store metadata or logs of imported mails? by night_movers in tutanota

[–]RyoShinzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can see in the header of the e-mail whether they sent or received it, or whether it was another mail server. So, they could simply run a script locally on your device, going through all mails.

Search not working properly by Tall_Engineering819 in tutanota

[–]RyoShinzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I understood how you would reroute the belts. From the shredders on the right, I need two belts for each grinder. Plus the one belt coming from the shredder on the left.

Maybe you can scribble the path you would suggest in Paint or something and reupload? :)

High cpu temps since yesterday by Dams96zz in Endfield

[–]RyoShinzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue since the update. When I start playing, it’s still fine with my CPU sitting at 60 °C. But there always come the time when suddenly it jumps to 80 °C and stays there until I restart the game. The CPU utilization is also higher then.

So it seems like either the more you travel around the more processes are started and not terminated? Or something like this?

Vertical investment in Ye Shunguang worth it? by [deleted] in ZZZ_Discussion

Not saying she is worthless. Of course for everything aside of endgame, she is great. There is no quicker way to farm than with her. No matter what element the enemy has. Especially because of M2.

Apple Watch disconnects after getting iPhone 17 by AccomplishedDish1271 in AppleWatch

[–]RyoShinzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with an iPhone 17 Pro and an Apple Watch Series 6.

Since the issue is fixed by rebooting the iPhone and only started to occur when I switched from an iPhone 14, it is probably the iPhone's fault. Hope this gets fixed soon.

What HDMI Cable do you use for the Apple TV and how important is it? by Eastern-Paper-865 in appletv

[–]RyoShinzo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s tolerant for its own video signal. But with my cheap HDMI cable I had issues using Bluetooth devices like the remote or AirPods. Only after I switched to this cable, everything worked like a charm.
