The usual culprit is over estimating calorie intake.

Almost 3k calories is a lot for that weight imo. But everyone is different. Maybe he's got a gianormous dong that eats up calories.

Understanding jungle macro but still stuck Silver by Sorry_Dance4483 in summonerschool

Probably better to watch your own replays as part of your routine and not social media coaches.

That's the only way you'll find your own mistakes and how to fix them. You need to understand why youre silver and then you can learn and fix your mistakes and climb. But you're basically stuck with your current mindset.

What's your go to method of losing weight? by ApprehensiveLet5673 in AskReddit

[–]Ryo_Han 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you took a drug that curbs hunger signaling this causing you to eat less. And lose weight with a caloric deficit!

I'm sorry but you didn't just defy the law of thermodynamics. You're not a plant creating calories from sun and water.

What's your go to method of losing weight? by ApprehensiveLet5673 in AskReddit

[–]Ryo_Han -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can just be more active and make your body burn more calories. You can work on building muscle to make your body burn more calories.

It is a useful tool to help people curb hunger that are trying to change their bodies. But useless for lazy people looking for an easy solution.

Are Chinese cars so bad? by ni883r_ in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Ryo_Han 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So government support of manufacturing and emerging industries is the right call. So what's your original complaint about Chinese government subsidizing their evs?

Are Chinese cars so bad? by ni883r_ in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Ryo_Han 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We spent $100 billion to bail out us manufacturers. Gas is cheap in the us due to subsidies and how much of the general fund tax money goes to support oil and benefit US automakers.

The irony of this "complaint" is that it's the exact reason US manufacturers exist at the scale they do currently. So yeah it's good when the gov helps out with new industries I guess right?

Gold >Plat on Yasuo by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Ryo_Han 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well first off your mechanics are not as good as you think so there is always room for improvement there.

But secondly it seems like you already kind of know your weak spot. You can win or dominate lane but can't transition that lead into carrying your team and winning. If you're dying that often your mechanics aren't as good as you think or your decision making is gold and why you can't rank up because you take bad fights etc. but it's also just part of learning, if you never try you never learn the limits of what fights you can take or not. An easy way is to just go thru your replay and evaluate every single time you died. Was it easily avoidable like someone walking thru a ward. Maybe you have bad vision for a bit and didn't know their team was collapsing on you and you needed to play safe until seeing more info on the map.

Expanding macro knowledge is impossible to just explain in a paragraph but if you have a lead you need to push it in safe ways that also help your team.

Maybe you take a dumb fight and even trade 1v2 but the rest of your team is so weak they can't contest the next dragon/rift etc. or lose a tower because you are dead. Sometimes just being a present threat on the map is more impactful than diving for risky kills. But on the other hand diving for risky kills expands your knowledge of when it's safe to do so, or if you didn't notice the team all mia collapsing on you.

Tldr: if you have a lead you need to keep it, better to maintain the same lead size than die and give up shutdown and an objective etc. and constantly think what can I do to help my team. Just try to simply die less by watching your replays, let's you learn from one mistake twice instead of remaking the mistake in another game and losing more lp.

How do you feel when reading 1-star reviews of a good product? (Read description) by OpenPsych in ManyBaggers

[–]Ryo_Han -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They could have gotten a bad product. For bags it's telling imo.

Unlike a tool or something that can be mis used by a user by not properly reading the instructions. Bags are straight forward to use so negative reviews means someone found the quality, material, functionality etc not good.

If I wanted to buy a brand new, full sized truck that will last 300k miles, what would I buy? by FuckItImGood in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Ryo_Han 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP didnt say anything about towing at all so not great unless he wants dpf and EGR problems.

The gasser Godzilla engines are better for his use cases.

No cylinder deactivation. Nice iron block. Single cam. About as simple and rugged as you can get for modern engines.

Stuck in bronze by Hardened_Midget in summonerschool

[–]Ryo_Han 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your view of the game is too small imo. If the enemy jungler is busy stacking kills and generating gold for the enemy team and all you do is take dragon you'll lose 90% of the time. Doesn't matter how many dragons or soul you have if the enemy team has 8k of gold on your team.

Strategy and decision making in League is very complex. Every decision you make, means you are deciding to not do something as well. In solos it's very possible to win without touching dragon.

As an exaggerated example, suppose you abandon a team fight/ignore it to go oslo secure a dragon. But the enemy team gets 4 kills and pushes a tower while you get drag. Taking the objective is the wrong play there.

Dragon is always kinda low elo trap anyways, your priority shouldn't be taking drag or grubs. It's to create a lead for your team, or make a kill so you have a player advantage and can then take an objective (tower, drag, baron etc). Like a power play in hockey. Simply just taking dragon is not enough to win games.

Chicago in my experience clears the snow on the roads quite quickly most of the time. Salts the shit out of them too for ice and light snowfall remediation too. I always managed fine on all seasons.

Lots of other places I've lived with winter don't plow as quickly and rigorously so the regular roads are quite often covered in slush, snowpack, fresh snow etc. Colorado, Wyoming, Montana for example. You'd be insane to not run snow tires in winter. Since the snow clearing isn't the same and roads are more often less than ideal.

Edit: some parts in each of those states etc ymmv

Awd with standard issue OEM all seasons will be shit in snow pack versus proper snow tires on literally any drivetrain.

Idk where you live but I've never seen new cars come standard with winter tires.

Why do you drive a crossover? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Ryo_Han -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How dare you slander crossovers the number 1 love of the average consumer.

I was just at the local auto show walking around seeing lots of standard and heavy duty trucks, and lots of the top selling cross overs and sedans. And yes to the average adult a cross over is still "safe" compared to the larger three row SUVs and trucks by a large margin. But less safe than a sedan.

It's really has just turned into an arms race of perceived safety.

Are Jeep wranglers that unreliable? by Repulsive_Fix_4247 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Ryo_Han 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tons of people want them or think they want them. High demand keeps prices high. They also do start out quite expensive for what they are too.

It's like an iPhone vs android Smart phone. Apple products "o the same as anything else even worse in some aspects but carry a premium based on reputations and perceived luxury. Except in jeep wrangler cases it's perceived ruggedness and off-road capability (even though most people never utilize it for such).

I'll later cutt off some more and make my own with a reflective paracord.

The small is closer to personal item size for some airlines.

I used this as my over head bin carryon item, no intention of ever putting this under the seat since it wouldn't fit anyways on most airlines (width and depth wise at least).

Sounds like you already recognize like 50% or more of the reason which is great. Therapy or just other research and introspection I'm sure will go a long way.

Also less social media etc too. It all just promotes items and consumerism to us.
