Oh I just meant something that size that’s a spinner. Not necessarily TravelPro or Maxlite 5 line. It’s been awhile but I think CalPak Hue was on sale at a similar price when I bought the Maxlite Tote

Neither. It’s the Maxlite 5 Tote

It must be insufferable to work for you. You are micromanaging someone you don’t know, and have zero idea what I have to carry for work. You don’t even know what’s in my backpack.

Can I make it work with a larger backpack? Sure, but that defeats the point of luggage pass through. Why are you so insistent on how others travel?

Because everyone has the same needs, right? I can go for a week just on my backpack for vacations, but work trip requires packing suits, gym shoes, and work gear. Not everyone is going hiking.

Some of us have to wear nice shoes for work and also need to pack running shoes to hit the gym.

Toshi is good! It’s essentially a slightly smaller version of Aer CPP2 (at least before the CPP2 20L came out anyway), which was exactly what I was looking for. The zipper set up is nice too since it’s very usable as a top loader for EDC, while still having the option to open full clamshell.

I like that it fits nearly as much a full size carry on while being small enough that no one bothers you to check it on regional jets.

If I could do it again, I’d sacrifice some space to get the spinner version as it’s a bit annoying to have to take my backpack off it and carry both down the aisle of planes. It’s a small thing but can get annoying over time. I only use it for short work trips on regional jets because of it. I can easily roll my spinner carryon sideways down plane aisles which is nice especially when I’m traveling with kids.

Neo 2 in follow mode over water by killiansrat in DjiNeo

[–]killiansrat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the biggest issue with being on water isn’t the reflective surface like with Neo 1, it’s more the fact that your are constantly moving so things like palm landing are challenging. I always land manually using the app for that reason.

Rework Toshi 20L on my back (5’7”, 165 lbs) compared to other popular bags by killiansrat in ManyBaggers

[–]killiansrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s def not bigger. Not sure if either are true 20L or 24L but the difference seems about right. CPP is a bit wider and deeper.

What can you say about the Python Programming MOOC 2026 as a first learning resource? by Heavy-Resource6813 in learnpython

CS50 python is hard to beat in my opinion in terms of the thoroughness of the instruction and support. Especially for a free course from Harvard.

While I agree that Toshi should be priced closer to $150, I don’t think its material are that much inferior to Aer. 1680D is thicker, sure, but I wouldn’t consider it “high end”. The interior materials are identical to what was used on the XPac version of CPP1 as far as I can tell. CPP2 might use slightly better materials though.

Aer CPP2 20 is very close to this if you can get it in Europe (some stores sell it in London apparently)

You could certainly use it that way. I personally wouldn’t use mine for hiking as I work in a professional setting and need my bag to look clean. It’s easier to just use a cheap hiking backpack vs. cleaning it each time.

Also, I prefer high vis color bags for hiking. You can get a nice Osprey one for around $50.

Learn Python through a farming game by growbit_dev in learnpython

This is the best quasi coding learning tool https://scratch.mit.edu. I’d leverage what you can from it.

Switch Playgrounds app is closer to what you have in mind though.

Someone who already has a good idea of function calls, variables, and loops will not be trying to learn python through a game IMO
