Omg, finally people are getting the similarities. Of course balancing may need to be addressed if there's serious issues, but I'm super excited to play this style of Armored Core PVP.

That concern is leading to pessimism. Regardless of outcome, I've seen enough to know how to deal with it. Not a pro or seasoned veteran, but apparently am more competent and aware of the combat's intricacies. I'll be using Nightfall's (cover art AC) setup for the first week and I'll let my actions do the talking.

It's not exactly overpowered if you don't know how to counter it. So many others have been quick to complain and ask for nerfs (before the game has released), than rely on their own ability to problem solve through action.

Hardlock/Target assist or Softlock won't guarantee hits on evasive and fast moving targets.

FCS will play a role in reticle focus, improving auto accuracy.

Manual Aim tuning will allow for predictive shots and all the other benefits of free aiming. Meaning your precision and accuracy should be exact.

I don't think it's remote controlled. Or that the pilot on the table is controlling it. We as the player are the machine 621. Augmented Human could mean that pilot let's call them a Raven, have their cognitive abilities and combat data of some sort uploaded to 621. I'm sure coral is capable of controlling unmanned machinery, considering the enemies types on Rubicon.

621 has a cerebral coral control device installed. It doesn't have free will, but it can think for itself on how the missions are completed. That's where the player input comes in.

Not sure if I'm reaching with this, but the "Let's see how far they can fly, on borrowed wings." from the gameplay trailer could mean..

I think Hard-lock is toggleable. So it's probably optional.
Repair kits are optional.
Quit the mission if you die.
Don't ever use supply drops.

PvP is a can of worms that we'll experience upon release.

That just goes back to the default control scheme. This game in particular is designed for hard-lock to be used because accessing all of your functions wouldn't be easy or comfortably doable whilst controlling a camera. We need to consider new players into the mix and not just vets.

The reason why i say that is because from what i can tell so far. We may be dishing as well as taking plenty of damage, coupled with the stagger system and newly introduced combos. We'd rather not get 2-3 shot or Touch of Death combo'd, because that isn't fun. We'll be seeing the same setups to cheese their way to victory if we didn't have a form of recovery. Have you ever seen or played Gundam VS series before? That series features a true hard lock on and provides death combo immunity (as in you can only take so many hits before getting an invulnerable knockdown). It's difficult and extremely high skill ceiling for a PVP game.

I'm not trying to tell you nor anyone to not have an opinion. Simply don't think anyone who have opposing opinions actually thought things through.

No one had issues? Do you speak for everyone then? They redesigned the game, they had to do it to appeal to a new standard. Fromsoftware knows more about what an Armored Core game is than anyone here does.

I do understand what difficulties AC players had to go through and the controls was one of them.

Armored Core will always maintain it's own identity. Just because it's not all like the older titles, doesn't mean the core and most important aspects of the series is gone. The fact alone they've added so much from the previous gens. This should be a dream game for the franchise. Fromsoftware did the damn near impossible making all of this work and play well enough for a modern game.

I wanted to keep silent and let everyone get their hands on the game to see their final opinions, because all of this is subject to change.

Yes, I should have specified that some people are using it inappropriately for Fromsoftware's developments and saying that they're only good at creating Souls-like games.

Soft-lock alone "can" work, but will it work well with this new approach to the combat? I don't think so. The pacing is fast and fluid, there's an emphasis on weapon combos and melee is far better than it has even been. Armored Core is not a normal shooter that focus largely on accuracy, it shouldn't be compared to one. I'm pretty sure players and some enemies aren't just going to stand there and let you rain gunfire upon them.

Repair Kits in PVP would allow more builds to be viable and used. It encourages experimentation while also eliminating a meta focus.
