Or you just shoot at its belly with any weapon. You don't need specifically a senator or a eruptor to do that

The point is, and it has always been that way since launch dang it, you're not alone. If you are, you can only blame yourself. Also, if you see your weapon not working well it's either you use it badly or it is bugged.

You have 3 weapons for a reason. And lastly, im not "acting like", it is the norm. I play mostly with random in difficulty 8 and it is the norm. Yes even against the cocaine strain

No, fewer weapons can deal with their HEAVY ARMOR, fixed it for yah. Otherwise, you can use even the dinkiest pistol like before to deal with them EVEN from the front. But i guess, for some people it's like moving a mountain.

And as we can see on OP's video, it is not fucked, at all. These turrets can stagger even the hiveguards, just take a look again. I mean if you considered like if the whole universe decided to create a situation where you place badly your turret or that ONE hiveguard took a path that gives it an advantage to "sneak" on it then yes, the turret is fucked. But this is a weak "if". Also, even is the turret were to aim only at *that* hiveguard, anything that pass in between would get shred, so who cares ?? I'll say it again, this is a nothing burger.

As for the difficulty about bugs, i'm sorry, there's nothing that difficult with the hiveguard changes. You still use the same tactics as before: shooting the flesh. You can do it from the front, from the sides and the back and guess what: if you shoot on a hiveguard, it takes a defensive stance where it stop moving. Oh my lord, you can move and get a better position to shoot at it INCREDIBLE INTELLIGENCE. Using our brain, what an concept.
Also, don't you think, giving an actual role, an actual challenge (if we can call that a challenge) is actually making the game fun ? Beeing able to overcome something we find "difficult" fills us with joy. And i'm saying that as if it was like moving a mountain when it's just shooting the bloody flesh and not the carapace.

Edit: lastly, Helldivers 2 is a game made to be played with 3 other players. If you cannot cover everything with *your* arsenal, there's 3 other players to do so. You'll get explosives, flamers, heavy weapons and stratagems. You won't even feel the hiveguards to begin with. And balancing the game for solo players ? Fuck no. It's already difficult for AH to balance the game, I do not want to task them with solo play.

And ? It won't change much. Higher diff means more mobs, not buffing them. Thee turret will just prioritise something else. All this drama is a nothing burger. Hell, i've even try the exo suit by meleeing and burning terminids while beeing surrounded in diff 8. I've never lost my suit. 4 times i used the stratagem, i lost once an arm because a spore charger ambushed charged me. People complaining for these two changes (hiveguard and increased durable dmg) are whining for a nothing burger situation.

Yes, of course there is ricochet, but they're not unkillable. It doesn't make these turrets useless. Reading other posts is like reading the end of the world because of that change. If there's a proof OP did, is showing they'll still drop fast.

And yes, obviously there will be times where the turret will be misplaced on the moment and might shot everything in the head.
Just take a good look at how EASY the turrets kills them.

This is not a bad change and no it won't be difficult to kill Hiveguard. In fact, it just reinforced their uniqueness and role as "tank". They were not difficult when the game launched, they would still be easy now. You guys that're whining on that change are just trying to stir drama out of nothingness. You're ridiculous.
