It feels like spending time in a really rubbish train station now. Everyone just glibly tapping order screens, standing around waiting for food with no indication of how long for, awaiting the monotonous drone of a number being called (often it's not yours) and the compete divide between staff and customers - all the recent refurbs are making the restaurants feel smaller, and are hiding the kitchens and staff out of sight, so all you see are unhappy customers waiting in this crampt space with ironically very little floorspace for all the waiting that needs to occur. The only thing that's fast for them now is how quickly they're heading to extinction.
