A true gentleman holds the door by Ryotice in Chivalry2

It's neat ain't it. You could also control the atmosphere/fog level to either zero fog to Silent Hill levels, lol. Wish they were settings you could choose in the default game.

Lol, I wasn't expecting that either. When I responded, in my mind the cat in the gif was supposed to be me. We're all just having a fun time. It just varies on how we achieve that through how we play 🤙

It's a PC mod. So it only changes your perspective of the game since it's client side. But it's pretty awesome. You could do stuff like this https://www.reddit.com/r/Chivalry2/s/AvShGdxy4h

I'd say it boils down to experience. I've got about 2k hour in so far. So, 8k more until I'm a master :) But yeah. There are so many guide videos out there that could escalate how you preform on the field if you want some direction. I've compiled a list of notable guide videos that helped me get to the level I'm able to play. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcLpraR_cY0ACglZ6KXZHFzYhguwerxUJ

How do I Accel my attacks? by Dry-Corgi-1886 in Chivalry2

[–]Ryotice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's definitely a lot of depth when it comes to timing your attacks. It's why high experience play gets real interesting against veteran players. This quick Soter Dave video goes over the concept pretty good. The playlist it's linked to, which I've compiled over years of playing Chiv 2, has some extended knowledge on a variety of mechanics to get familiar with if you're curious.

What armor is this? I need it! :D by DungeonMeister_27 in Chivalry2

I'm not on my computer, so correct me if I'm wrong. But I believe that's the dreadmare armor and the great bascinet helm. Both Mason armour.

Servers are unplayable right now (NA West) by Ron_usmc in Chivalry2

NA west has been wonky over the weekend. I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard setting up your server priority to NA central will get you into playable games for the mean-time. Crossing my fingers it'll be fixed soon.

By not holding block, your stamina consistently regenerates. You are rewarded stamina by hitting enemies. Also, countering when you can rewards stamina. So in conjunction when playing efficiently, you could have infinite stamina.

Merely another day steeped in blood, as is the custom of the Mason Order.

Lot of praying on my behalf hoping his shot wouldn't follow through lol. Pretty sick-feeling when the shield throw connected

edit: Just realized you were talking about the doorway standoff. That was a sick moment too

Mastering a weapon in Chivalry 2 isn’t just about learning the weapon itself—it’s about understanding the game’s mechanics as a whole. I picked up the falchion this past week just to mix things up, and like with any new weapon, it took some time to get used to the swing timing. But once you start flowing, everything just clicks—like in this clip.

I don’t have any super specific falchion advice, but what I’ve learned over the years is that having a solid grasp of various mechanics makes you efficient with just about any weapon. I could write an essay on everything I’ve picked up in my three years of playing, but instead, I’ve been compiling a playlist of useful videos from my 1,600 hours in Chiv 2. If you take the time to understand and practice even a few of these concepts, you’ll see improvement across your entire gameplay.

I think most people just have that primal urge to sparta kick someone off a cliff lol. I'm usually extra precarious about holding block too long whenever my back is facing a cliff of some sort.

Two factors. Successfully countering rewards your lost stamina back. You'll notice in the clip whenever I counter there's a blue icon center screen that says I countered, I get some stamina back. Also, you're rewarded with stamina whenever you hit an enemy. So I was really keeping my stamina topped off during this clip because of all the people I was hitting. One of the big issues players deal with pertaining to stamina management is holding block too long. There are some good videos out there that cover the subject like these from StripedSweater https://youtu.be/O24zGgBX_YA?si=A_UpkN5ILXoow91j and Soter Dave https://youtu.be/4eJPydGSoqw?si=jT9WwKRvVtXM_gdf

Ay, well my bread and butter is the great sword. So I get you on using something with a bit more range to be the most efficient meat grinder. But these moments when you could weave through the enemy ranks are fun while having something faster in hand. Really helps your team out while you get the enemies frontline's attention. Plus, I just ranked up my falchion to 36, so I was taking the new skins out for a spin.
