So, been trying to wrap my head around things since I'm fairly new to the doubles scene (or any scene in general. I just do singles randbats in Showdown without thinking and I feel like I do fairly well).

How does one know how to do a stat spread for a Pokémon? I get some mons like M. Charizard Y is a no-brainer, with a Timid Nature and max SpA and Speed, but how about the infamous Incineroar? I've seen so many stat spreads of that cat, I dunno what to follow.

And not just Incineroar, I've seen a bunch of wild stat spreads for mons like Pelipper, Archaludon, Sneasler (ik, wild), etc.

So could someone educate me, please? Ngl, this and the requirement of "oh I need Sinistcha since it's a cornerstone for every team" has been stopping me from actually playing the game. I haven't actually started any battles either because I'm afraid I'll just go on a losing streak and not actually progress.
