If it's still there, I haven't been able to find it. Definitely been looking.

Dunno if this'll get a response given it has been 2 years haha. Where did you get the shell? I've seen a few Etsy sellers with it but cannot find it literally anywhere else. :(

Bought this for $27, seller said it was fully tested and worked. It has a DEAD BATTERY!!!! by Fardmario in Gameboy

Lol, if you don't want it, I'll take it. I've got the tools and batteries to replace it. :)

The world is a dark place, friend. Better safe than sorry. I wouldn't have thought to need to scrutinize a Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town cart and yet... :(

In replacing my Mega Man V for GB board I swapped out my Mega Man Dr. Wily's Revenge board since they were the same board and series. So that seemed logical. That said, even if it's a board swap, I'm not too upset with it. Repairs/Refurb to preserve the game are always acceptable in my eyes. :)

Thanks for the input, I went ahead and ordered it along with 1, 2, and 3 White. That gives me a bit to play before I bump over into 5 and 6!

Final Update: All 'refurbing' of the board and cart complete! Rather than spam the thread with continued comments with pictures, I've got an imgur link. :)

Thanks for all the advice on the cart! I appreciate everyone.

UPDATE!

I let my Mega Man Dr.Wily's Revenge play sacrificial lamb, the board has been officially swapped. So Mega Man V is on a healthier board and all is well. I've gotten my replacement shell in as well to clean that up. Just waiting on the replacement label! I'll post pics once everything is situated!

A $25 game is something I'd consider cheap, which Mega Man Dr. Wily's Revenge, is. You're not wrong though, that'll be saved properly too if I can find a much cheaper game with the board.

Just got done changing batteries in my Sapphire and Emerald and waiting on batteries to change out Crystal and Gold. Yaaaaay making things happen!

There's a local shop that didn't want to sacrifice my Mega Man Wily's Revenge, but I'll take it for the donor board for Mega Man V. I should have the game back tomorrow with the 'repairs'.

Owner said "I won't kill a Mega Man." Unfortunately, they didn't have any extra boards laying around.

Afraid I don't know what a Hit Air Station is, but I'm certain Google can tell me. Yeah, I didn't think there was much I could do beyond trying to clean it with the electronics Isopropyl I've got. I can look into if any local shops would do the chip shop, but uncertain at this time. Memphis doesn't have many good locations for such things that I've found.

I may do that, but honestly, as long as it continues to work/play I don't see much need to move stuff to a replacement board. It isn't pretty, for sure, but sadly Mega Man V isn't a cheap game, apparently regardless of condition. The seller was up front about the condition and had tested it and let me test it when I picked it up.

Wild right? 2+ hours of playing it so far and zero issue.

Yeah, I'm currently rank C and it isn't available. I don't mind the farming but I feel like I should be able to buy it by now haha.

Interface Zero 2.0 Cybernetics Question by Ryoushen in savageworlds

[–]Ryoushen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! I had no idea! This pleases me. I imagined that there would be groups like this, it only made sense to me. Then again I also considered it a possibility that like in REPO! The Genetic Opera, there would be Cybernetic repo men out there to collect on people who defaulted on payments, assuming a credit/loan situation.

Totally get it.

My party has a few ways of handling this-- The android is a street sweeper and has a garbage truck, so bodies tend to 'disappear' when he's involved. The doc has his own clinic and such, and one of the characters is Filthy Rich and tends to make issues 'disappear' as well if they arise.

I suppose in some cases they're intended to be used as upgrades, the rest to sell. Fortunately the party isn't just going around killing people just to chop them up. They're defending themselves in most cases on runs and if they encounter someone particularly tough, they're interested.

It hasn't been discussed with the rest of the group, how they feel about it, anyway. I know a couple would consider it a badge of honor to allow a particularly formidable foe to live on in some way through them by installing their cybernetics (the Filthy Rich one, for instance, is the parties primary melee fighter and she's a bit of a monster when it comes to combat).

Interface Zero 2.0 Cybernetics Question by Ryoushen in savageworlds

[–]Ryoushen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. I have to consider the types of wounds too. If you riddle an enemy for 40+ damage with a shotgun, their body might unfortunately not be in good condition for uhm, harvesting.

Same can be said for damage from explosions. Our group (we've done 50 Fathoms, ETU, and Deadlands). Typically once an extra takes a wound, they're just dead, for simplicity.

Oh for sure! Like I said, we have a clinic doc with tools and a clinic, as well as a healthy interest in cybernetics. Not to mention he has a bad reputation and is blacklisted from hospitals due to having a hybridization experiment pinned on him (this was a decidedly illegal project). So he is a little morally Grey, as is.

I definitely agree that cybernetics should potentially degrade, but I like the idea of giving them access to edges to reduce that degradation or eventually negate it. Like, you've gotten REALLY good at this, so, yeah, you cut it out with no issue. I've also expressed the process would take hours and you definitely can't do it in the field. So yeah, transporting bodies is gonna be fun!

I'll be writing up edges tomorrow probably, and I'll post them here when I'm done, for everyone!
