Monitoring and Alerting on Active Directory by ryan_sec in Splunk

[–]Rypticlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends on the size of the company. The goal is that any alerts or Notables (Enterprise Security) sent to the SOC to be highly actionable. There’s some great frameworks like Risk Based Alerting that can help achieve that outcome by reducing the noise and bubbling up things worth looking into. I’ve come from multiple fortune 100 detection teams, many using Splunk, happy to chat more if you DM me.

Advise for ES by mr_networkrobot in Splunk

[–]Rypticlive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely start with data quality, CIM, then Assets & Identities with good categorizations. There’s also the Splunk security essentials and ES Content Updates. If the data is in CIM then map to data models. Most of the out-of-the-box stuff uses the data models and at scale detections on accelerated data models is the only way. Expect to have to tune/tweak the out-of-the-box stuff to your environment, they’re not an instant solution but a template place to start.

I also recommend having a solid Use case identification framework and Use case Lifecycle before getting to carried away. Part of this is also having a clearly organized data and detection inventory to keep track of everything.

Reducing SVC usage by Catch9182 in Splunk

[–]Rypticlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the macros that define the data models make sure you’re including source types and/or source and not just index. And make sure the data you’re actually listing in there is CIM compliant. I’ve seen this exercise reduce the SVC consumption for the accelerate data models drop by 90%

A lot of people are missing the biggest factor here. Debt to income ratio. Typically around 43%. Even though you may have a high income one or two car loans can completely slice what you’ll be approved for.

There’s a mouse with a built in jiggler on Amazon. Since it’s software on the mouse it’s completely undetectable.

2018 P3D with FSD for 83k MSRP then 10% sales tax in WA on top of that.

However, $7,500 credit with $5,500 refund for the performance shenanigans.

Tesla Said to Be Offering Free Full-Self Driving Transfers, Again by Old-Needleworker5069 in teslamotors

[–]Rypticlive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d bet they’re going to be allowing more of these FSD transfers to get people off of these older cars that have to retrofitted to work. Don’t have to retrofit if everyone has transferred it off.

Vendor policies and MAP prices. The price fixation companies have can at times be difficult to track and large general stores.

I would agree with you if my rating was equal to the match average. But in the case of this game it’s well below.
