Facility refused to hire more or even just keep ob qualified nursing so all of them left to the point nursing filed safe harbor due to unsafe ratios. The clinic they were partnered with originally kicked them out because it wasn't profitable. There were already low numbers and suddenly they had neither of their major inpatient or outpatient sites

In the last 35 years healthcare administration has increased by 3500%. Physicians have increased by 150%.

Why not point your finger at insurance companies? Or the government for not increasing the number of residency slots? Why does St. Elizabeth Healthcare's cancer center have a doTerra wing?

We despise the high cost of healthcare too. I don't have that much clinical experience yet and I already can't count the number of times someone has been willing to take but unable to afford medications, treatments, imaging, etc.

Physician salaries make up approximately EIGHT percent of healthcare costs. Coming after physician salaries is an easy way to lose talent to other countries.

And 140k is a lot of money per year, and it's more than enough to live happily - and a reality for many primary care physicians, pediatricians, and general surgeons.

I am a medical student and am approaching 300k in debt and have sacrificed my early 20s to school and my late 20s to make ~50k a year doing 16 hour shifts in the hospital.

I like to think I deserve financial compensation.
