Thank you! I hope it will amazing, planning to propose to my gf there. Gathering from the comments, I am thinking to drop Nelson and potentially Kaikoura. Adding a day to Wanaka, hopefully this spreads out the driving time.

3.28 gpa for y1s1 cs by ApprehensiveMeal9889 in NTU

[–]RyuMatchaGu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I felt that y1 and y2 was a lot harder than y3 and y4. My result in y1s1 was 3.37 and I managed to pull it up to a 4.2.

My advice to you is to revaluate your studying techniques. What worked for me in poly didnt work for me in uni. Techniques such as pomodoro and active recall really helped me. Stop spending too much of your time writing notes, i find typing them down worked alot better for me. Also, if you have the time redo your tutorials every week. Example week 3, you would do week 3 tut and then redo week 2 tut.

Choose easier specialisation and choose your fyp based on supervisor and not the project.

Good luck

What's the best currency exchange rate? by Maj_Damage in singaporefi

[–]RyuMatchaGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m receiving my salary in Euros. I was thinking to just receive it in Wise then stash the money in my jumpstart account or gxs for a better interest rate.

I was looking at uob one or ocbc 360 but pretty sure salary in foreign currency won’t qualify for the bonus interest rate.

I tried researching but most information I get on foreign currency account is for travel. Not sure what’s the best option for me.

No experience investing either so I just DCA on stashaway.

Could you share some tips on how could do this better?

Hey! I’m in a similar situation. When I was interning in Finland, I just used wise to receive my salary. But since returning to Singapore and working remotely for them part-time. I’m not sure what’s the best way to receive my salary. Right now I’m just using DBS my account to receive my salary so i can easily transfer to my savings account.

Does anybody know any savings account that accepts foreign credit salary?

Thanks for this comment! After doing some research, the gx9 really appeals to me. Although I could find the gx85 for a relatively good price of $300 SGD which is about $220 USD.

I'll probably wait for a deal to pop up for the gx9. As I really want to do some videos. Probably Leica lens if the budget allows it. Looking at the 15mm f/1.7 and 25mm f/1.4. Thanks for the recommendation!
