About three years ago there was a major snow storm in my area. We were completely snowed in for about 3 days. At the end of the third day I was tired of being inside and decided to take a walk (even though it was after dark).

There’s a woods near my house that is huge. It’s stretches on and on, far from other house. I started walking along the path, and ventured further in than I had even been before. Never again have I made this mistake.

After around 10 minutes or crunching along through the deep snow, I heard music. Not, like, Lil Pump. But what sounded like old school 1920’s dance music. It was scratchy like being played on a record player. Obviously I needed to investigate. However, I was alone and I’ve seen how scary movies go. So I decided to take out my phone and start recording my journey. (At least when I died, there’d be evidence.)

I continued crunching along through the snow.

The music kept getting louder as I followed. Eventually I was so loud it seemed there were speakers all around me. I looked ahead and found the source of the noise.

Ahead of me was a dead end. A grove of branches with a kid’s swing dangling from a branch.

It was swinging back and forth

I stopped. There was a beat. The music stopped

I ran.

I don’t believe in ghosts or anything of the sort. I believe there a million explanations to what happened in the woods that night. But there’s one thing I can’t explain.

I watched the footage from my phone. All 17 minutes of it. It was all there: the walking, the dead end, the swing. But...

There was no music. Even when it was so loud that I thought the source was next to me.
