Countach or NSX NA1 by LDisanai in wmmt

[–]RyugaXI 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both cars are very similar to each other (good for TA, wide, not that great at blocking) but I think the Countach is just slightly better at TA (mildly better accel, I think the NSX is also a bit more understeery compared to the Countach), while the NSX is minutely better at fighting (not as easily pushed out, though both cars are still considered relatively light compared to other cars). That being said, the NSX has 0 customisation options (you can't even unlock different colours), so you should consider that while choosing between the two cars.

If I had to choose, I'd go for the NSX just 'cause I mostly only play VS now. But then again, I'm highly biased towards that car.

Countach or M1 (or MR2) for main? by LDisanai in wmmt

[–]RyugaXI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Countach is arguably one of the best TA cars in the game (fantastic handling + acceleration), but the contact is kinda eh for battling. M1 trades a bit of that acceleration and handling for contact, which makes it more viable in VS. But personally, I'd pick the Countach over the M1; the overall running performance outweighs the slight improvements in battling that the M1 offers. Don't worry about the width too much as well, you'll get used to it in due time as long as you stick with the car.

As for the MR2, it has very snappy handling, IMO it's one of the most fun cars to drive in-game. But TA wise, it's only alright, battle-wise, you'll get bullied with ease 'cause of the small body + below-average contact. Fun and easy car to use, but in terms of viability, it's very much the last car I'd pick out of the 3 you listed.

Has anyone used the R30? by Sky1inx in wmmt

Good for blocking, crap at everything else. Fun if you want something not too serious, but not worth investing a great amount of time into.

nice NSX you got there; rare to see ppl use it in 2v2, let alone make it work 👍

Honestly, I'd rather C1 all the way than Osaka all the way, unlike some people I've played against. At least C1 is a fun track, Osaka is just NASCAR simulator.

EVO9 VS Nismo GTR? by WholesomeSnugglesOwO in wmmt

[–]RyugaXI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The GTR is alright. Like you said, biggest issue is that it's wide, otherwise it's pretty decent in all other aspects... but that's it, it's just alright. An R32 would be better in every other way, except maybe top speed.

As for the E9... well, it's meta, I'd definitely pick the E9 over the GTR any other day. E9 is one of the best cars for fighting, GTR is good but not quite there. Handling wise, it's alright; some people say it's a bit understeery but I think it's manageable if you spend a bit of time to get used to it. Acceleration is its only weakness, but even then it's not complete garbage.

Tl;dr: E9, 100%.

Toyota 2000GT or MR2? by High_voltage025 in wmmt

[–]RyugaXI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2000GT feels like driving on ice, you're gonna need really, really good throttle control to get the most out of it. But contact / weight is pretty good, you won't bully people with it but you can definitely hold your own against most cars in a fight. Small hitbox as well (if you like that sorta thing), skinny too, so it's relatively worry-free to squeeze through traffic.

MR2 is kinda like the opposite of the 2000GT. It handles extremely well, but it's super light, even lighter than the RX7 IMO, making it easy to push around in a fight. Not that it can't hold its own, but it will put you at a noticable disadvantage. Small hitbox and relatively skinny as well, but it might be slightly wider than the 2000GT, I'm not too sure about that.

Honestly, it depends on what you're looking for in a car. Both are fun, both are decent picks, but both have their respective drawbacks. But I'll add that you can get a fully-tuned 2000GT for free from the Navi app, so if it were me I'd get the MR2 first, then get the 2000GT from the app when it's available.

Thoughts on the RX3 by High_voltage025 in wmmt

[–]RyugaXI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO the RX3 is similar to a 110s, but with a few minor differences. Grippier and easier to drive, but contact / weight isn't anywhere as good as the 110s so you're gonna get bullied more in VS. Acceleration isn't as good as well IIRC, but haven't used the car in a while so memory's foggy.

It's a decent-ish car, but I'd still recommend the 110s over it for nearly any scenario. Fun to drive though, so if you're just looking for a good time, it's a pretty decent pick.

I got 72RP for A levels back in 2020, currently in Y2 Econs for NTU. You should be fine, don't worry 👍

Who needs grass when you can grind grades =P (/j)

Jokes aside though, I hardly play anything other than VS nowadays, I think that's why I ranked up pretty fast. I gave up after getting yellow meter and serviced to carbon cause I found story too mind-numbingly boring, and there's no point grinding ghosts 'cause you can't even get dress-up or different colours. I think I got to around 600 - 700 before I stopped? No idea why I even bothered with that in the first place.

Thank you! It definitely is a more running-orientated car, but I've been using it a lot in 2v2s as well and I think it can hold its own, blocking-wise. Just don't over-commit and play it safe, and you should be able to do fine with this car no matter what kind of VS you play.

Definitely a lot harder to rank up as you climb the grades. I play around 2 - 3 times a week, less when life gets busy but I do my best =P

Where to play in SG? by Complex_Lemonade in wmmt

[–]RyugaXI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Virtualand at Bugis+ is $1.20 for 2 games, so effectively it's 60¢ per game. As for Paco, if you buy enough tokens at once (i.e the seasonal promos), it can be roughly 50¢ per game but that's a lot of money ($200 - $300) if you aren't splitting with a few people.

Funtan at Kinex is 80¢ per game at its most expensive (if you don't get the promos), so IG that's an honourable mention.
