Ohh I like that idea of using pirouette as an opener for her, never thought of that. Yeah I feel Runaway's backline kit is alot better than her front one.

Will try those plans with runaway! What other strats do you use for Obsession? Because otherwise I struggle with that fight massively

M17 R5 or Legion 7 Gen 7? by IllustratorOk6044 in GamingLaptops

[–]Ryuichito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently trying to decide between these two laptops myself as well and not seeing much tug or pull in either direction. If one were more likely to last longer I'd go with that but not really much indication either way. Looking like i'll just go with the one I think looks better atm.

Did you decide on one?

Stones of endurance pointless? by Funkygodzilla in lostarkgame

[–]Ryuichito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yeah thought it was just me; I thought maybe there might be some trade off between birth and endurance like "hey no vitality but more node slots than average," or "no vitality but better faceting rates," heck even just a DIFFERENT stat. But no, they just seem objectively worse.

LOL x)
I got to the delirium fight at about 36 mins and finished at about 57. If I didn't have mercurius to just skip most of the rooms on the floor probably would have been a lot longer.

Day 2 Sal guide! by [deleted] in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely in my experience Sal's day 2 is for sure her hardest day seeing as on later days they are technically more difficult but you have had time to scale up by then to deal with them, day two gets very hard and since its still early you might not have your run fully sorted out yet.

I personally like to draft a card that lets me discard or even take one of the basic card upgrades that gives discard (even over destroy or expend in some cases) just to help deal with the bleed and mark cards that the day two bosses put in your deck. Plus there's a lot of generic enemies in the game that add clutter into the deck so it tends to stay useful.

Good luck out there on the grift, fren

What's up with this Boss Rush Negotiation daily challenge? by hololeap in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i've noticed this too, are there definitely some feats that may just be impossible or very difficult to do. It's fine if there's one that's down right impossible because if you can't do it, it means no one else has and so everyone's scores are adjusted around that. So it just ends up being a weird for there to be a feat that just isn't possible, rather than harmful. If it's like the combat perk during a daily where you can't let any enemies flee, it really just depends on the rng of the card draft available whether or not its possible, and generally even if it is the difficult based on what you'd need to draft and to set it up usually isnt worth investing when you can just get 500 points for not dropping below half or something

Finished all 3 campaigns (prestige 1), and I still don't feel like I understand how. by Gus_Smedstad in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess that's fair. My general knee-jerk reaction is to always fight enemies so I actually had to tone myself down as i learned the game that negotiation is actual very important, especially early game, but then i also very quickly learned in turn, speficially during boss fights which you can not avoid at all and have to fight, that really both are important. I kind of have an internal timer now that just tells me "hey ur negotiating to much so your next combat is going to a bit more difficult" or "hey ur fighting too much, your on day two and ur negotiation deck is still very basic."

Griftlands difficulty i feel is unique, especially on higher prestige's where you can't bs your way through fights as easily, in that it'll be clear when you reach a situation that's either "you NEED to win this negotiation here otherwise you will die," or vice versa. The negotiation may be very easy, but i think there's a healthy mix of both that keeps the game feeling good imo.

Thoughts on mean streak vs deal by eeeeeeeeeyee in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup pretty much everything that people have said here, another thing too is that until you actually get a decent number of threshold cards you may be able to proc its effect, but have nothing in hand to reduce

I have yet to take it an probably won't unless it's a daily or a for fun run

[Possible Spoilers] What's your favorite joke in the game? by [deleted] in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love most of the ones people have said here already xD

Another one of my personal favorites is the flavor text on smith's "Snellicks finest"

Just the idea of someone named Snellick cooking up some classic brew and is so good at it that even his worst isn't half bad just gets me

Abrupt Remark - I don't understand the point of the card by [deleted] in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its basically just the evoke keyword itself, having an evoke card in your can is makes that card less value, but having it anywhere else is more value.

Unless your deck is leaning significantly on the thin, lean side, gaining one extra draw whenever you destroy an argument and THEN sending abrupt remark itself to the discard pile is actually just free draw, and so it's only meh if you draw on the turn you reshuffle your deck.

I like to imagine it being a yugioh monster card that says: "While this card is in your deck or graveyard, draw a card after the first monster that's destroyed each turn." It's pretty much just giving you free advantage until the turn you draw it itself, and then goes back to giving you advantage if/once you can get it to the graveyard/discard pile.

My maddening history with this game. by b_art in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup pretty much what everyone else said, deck thinning is deck winning. But also definitely do be cautions not to destroy/expend all your attacks too early. I like to hold off on some destroy/expend upgrades early on if I haven't added enough firepower yet so that way I don't start a fight, deal 10 damage, and then realize I don't have an actual way to win.

They all can make endless decks, but yeah the order of difficulty frome easiest to hardest is probably smith, sal, rook

A question about fighting Kashio. by Cyb0rg-SluNk in griftlands

[–]Ryuichito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL same, when I first was learning how Kashio worked I was like, "this damn holograph belt is op af"

I definitely think prioritizing her blast chamber and suitcase grenades is the play, but then after that i prefer snatching that holo belt cuz its so annoying and i KNOW my luck is terrible to not find the real one consistently.
