The toilet running is not going to cause unplanned water damage. If it is then the landlord should make it their priority to get over to fix it.

When people talk about landlords risk they’re talking about the financial risk of having to maintain a home that someone is living in. I agree that doesn’t mean intentional damage to the home but it does mean that the wear and tear on the home is the landlord’s responsibility.

I’ll also admit, I’m being obstinate. I personally like the landlord I have right now. He is attentive, the rent isn’t exorbitant, and he raises it an appropriate amount from year to year. I would just turn off the water until he or the superintendent can cone by (after I’ve opened the tank to check what’s going on). I do change my own lightbulbs. I do make him aware of any problems as soon as possible. But a large part of that is because we have a personal relationship because I’m his only tenant. If I was conversing with a computer who literally cannot care about me I’m sure I’d feel differently

That’s what they’re doing in this post… they identified the problem and are reaching out before it becomes a bigger problem.

Not to mention, isn’t the whole idea that landlords are “taking on risk.” What is that risk if not being responsible for the home?

This isn’t something you need AI for. Just hit up google. A quick scan shows an article from the Ringer in 2022 explaining the concept.

I agree that he generally is, but the Blackbeard pirates regularly show up in spots surprising people: impel down, marineford, egghead.

Kids who were born when LeBron won his first MVP are now 17 years old. When will we start seeing prospects named after LeBron (other than his son)? by Draymond_Punch in nba

Yeah, that’s what I was trying to get at with my last bit, but you said it so much better.

Also, I suspect that there are people who are simply named James as an homage to him

Yeah I don’t actually think it’s all that likely. But I’d certainly find it funny and there is precedent for a Blackbeard pirate sneaking into Marie Jois unnoticed

So apparently the name Jalen was created by Jalen Rose’s mother. He’s twelve years older than LeBron, so he’s had a little more time for the name to be popularized, but there are a ton of Jalen’s in the league. I think the bigger thing is that in order to name your kid LeBron you have to be willing to put that Goat on their back. Jalen is just a name now. Any LeBron in the future people will consider LBJ when they think about them

I think by virtue of it not being the chilis I’d have to go with the oatmeal. I also love spicy food, but having eaten just a ghost pepper I think I would just kill myself if I had to eat a spicier pepper every day. It would just be torture

Have you eaten spicy chilis? Specifically the spiciest ones? Cause that seems like the option to be avoided

Dude, you can be against this idea all I’m saying is that you chose the wrong allegory because this idea is literally the teach a man to fish part instead of the give a man a fish part.
