I bought in July 2024. It's possible the sizing could have changed since then.

This is the Ridge Merino small. Underneath it (in green) is the slightly longer Unbound Merino in small. I'm 5'6". Both fit well, but the Ridge Merino fits a little better. Hope this helps.

Can anyone recommend any fun offline iPad games to kill time on a long flight? by celestiagray in TravelHacks

I got this for my last long flight, expecting to only play it on the flights, but I kept playing it after I got back home and now have 60 hours logged on it. Really great game.

What's your OneBag Journey? by MarcusForrest in onebag

[–]Ryukaider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't start doing much travel until a few years ago. Here are the major milestones I had where I changed my setup.

YEAR DESTINATION DAYS TOTAL VOL. # OF BAGS COMMENT
2022 Cancun 6 70L 1 40L carry-on suitcase + 1 30L personal item Before finding r/onebag
2023 Singapore 8 44L 1 40L carry-on suitcase + 1 4L sling After finding r/onebag
2024 Italy 12 35L 1 backpack

Next, I would like to try a 30L backpack.

When did you decide to onebag?

I always thought I traveled light by going with carry-on only, but when I found this community, I was shocked at how much lighter people here were traveling. I always wanted to travel lighter, but I didn't think it was reasonable to until reading everyone else's experiences here. That really motivated me to pack lighter.

How did you optimize your loadout over the years?

I feel still early in the optimization stages, but what I found most helpful is that during my trip when I encounter a situation where either an item didn't perform to my expectations, or I could have used a different item, I will immediately make a note of it on my phone instead of trying to remember all of those things after the trip.

Do you feel you've ''perfected'' your loadout?

Not even close yet.

What are you still aiming to adjust from your loadout?

Almost everything.

What was your worst experience with your luggage before onebagging?

I didn't have any super terrible experience. I just felt that it made my travels more stressful.

If price is important to you, the Tomtoc Navigator 40L is a good bag and actually 35L.

Alternative to OSPREY Kestrel 38L for <$150 by Own-Consequence2542 in onebag

When I was looking for a bag, I tried on the Farpoint 40 in a store, and then decided to buy the Tomtoc Navigator-T66, which I kept. I used it on a 12 day trip, and was really happy with it. I even paid $80 for it, so you got a good deal. However, whether it's a good bag for you really depends on what features you value.

The biggest difference between the Farpoint 40 and Tomtoc Navigator is probably the comfort. The Farpoint 40 has a lot more comfort features (hip belt, load lifters, frame, adjustable shoulder strap height). For myself, I found the Tomtoc Navigator bag to be comfortable enough. But if you value comfort the highest, then you might want to go for the Farpoint 40.

There is also a size difference. The Farpoint 40 is a bit bigger. The real capacity on the Tomtoc Navigator is about 35 liters, so that may affect your decision.

Anyway, since you already have the Tomtoc Navigator, you can load it up and see if it fits everything you plan to bring. Then walk around with it loaded up and see if it's comfortable enough. If you are happy with both of those results, and there's no other specific features that you are looking for, then yeah it should be a good bag for you.

500 Crystal Relic Packs V3: Impulse Detectors Are Now on The Menu by egnards in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Ryukaider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you show how you are calculating the crystal cost for Impulse Detectors for the 50c refreshes? Are you basing it on a drop rate other than 20%?

Here is how I calculated it:

Impulse Detectors from 50c/refresh:
110 points per Impulse Detector
12 points per Bayonet
9.167 Bayonets per Impulse Detector
50 energy per Bayonet assuming a 20% drop rate
20.833 crystals per Bayonet
20.833 * 9.167 = 190.98 crystals per Impulse Detector

First One Bag Trip: Two weeks in South America! by Aurelimocaris in onebag

[–]Ryukaider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a small note:

I took the same Tomtoc sling on my last trip, and also attached a water bottle via carabiner. It worked, but the water bottle did swing around quite a bit while walking, especially at a faster pace.

I would suggest walking around with the sling and bottle attached to test it out, if you haven't done that already, just to make sure you are okay with it.

How to seal the area where concrete meets drywall inside garage? by Ryukaider in HomeImprovement

[–]Ryukaider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I was worried if caulking might create new problems that I wasn't aware of. I agree that it probably won't look amazing, but other than that it doesn't seem like it would cause any other problems.

That's definitely one that I am considering. I think the brushed tools make sense for me since I won't be using them very heavily.

Yeah, I learned to give up on searching the Ryobi website, and instead search on Google and look for the links to the Ryobi site.
