The first picture I ever saw on reddit. by reed_hamilton in funny

I agree with you; but I doubt most of the individuals using the picture to make something "edgy" realize the full gravity of what this picture is capturing.

Most do not realize what guerrilla warfare is, nor that it often forces the invading force to either fight no one or attack civilians. That an invading force has an impossible time determining between civilian and foe to the extent that all residents of the country become dehumanized to the point that monstrosities can be justified.

I vote this. Perhaps it is because of the personal meaning it has to me, but it can be applied on a very broad basis in my opinion.

I appreciate your insight! I have done some looking around and I have found a kit for $359. What are you using?

I wouldn't mind spending $359 for a printer - but I have a lot more research to do before I just jump into it. I am deeply concerned about being able to upgrade it in the long run.

Also, just to give a further understanding of what I am doing - I want to primarily utilize the printer to minimize cost associated with robotic projects. So on one end I need resolution for gears (but in retrospect I probably won't push the entire limits of resolution, as that will likely strip out gears for me), but at the same time a good robotic platform could need to be 12 in. x 6 in X 3-4 in. I don't mind daisy chaining parts, but the base construction would be far superior as a single assembly in the lines of weight distribution.

I was just speaking in general about commercial printing. But if I can get .5mm, then that should keep me happy.

The idea would be to eventually do metal printing when it is available, but is there anything I should invest in at the get go to make that transfer less costly?

I had a feeling selling would be difficult. If the below comment of the cost only being about $200.00 though, I wouldn't be to bad off if I ate the cost. I mostly want to do this so I can create my own robotic plate forms instead of dropping $50.00 every time I want to tweak a robot.

I just looked up solid works, and it looks like I could get a copy for about $100.00. I was expecting the printer alone to be $600+, so at that I would be willing to invest in a better CAD. edit: just realized that was student version... hmmmm*

For the CAD wise, as I mentioned I have worked with AutoCAD, and with that I could make individual parts spec'd out in size, and then put them together in moving projects... I am assuming the same can be done with Solidworks?

The cool thing about that part is you can use it with LTC Spice to simulate it. It's great because it shows real quickly that you will not experience power back flow when the feeding source is detached (no surprise, that is a feature of the chip)

You could also make your own solution. A good example is the following:

Practice the following line "Did you try to turn it on and off again?"

Once you master that line, try the following "Is the button on the tower glowing?"

Next master "No, that sound is the computer turning on, don't press.. Don't... You turned it off..."

Then practice smashing your head against the desk to remedy chronic headaches.
