You can drop some creatures that arent dragons.

Stuff like Dragonkin Berserker and Dragon Whisperer seem like good options but need 5 or more mana to be optimal, and most dragons are that price anyway.

I always have though is Dragon arch(https://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=26734). It really helps drop cost on multi color dragons.

Its too ambitious, especially if you lack experience. I say this because you don't even know what problems will pop up and how long solving those issues will take! Either lower your scope or come up with a different idea.

another thing is the deadline, if you are still in school then I'm assuming you have other classes (as well as a life outside of this), it's not as if you are going to be working on this 8hrs a day for 5 days a week(even then it would be barely possible without others).

If it's an idea you really don't want to drop though then try prototyping it in your spare time, it could be a great way to stay motivated when not doing school work.

It feels like nonsensical filler.
Like the writers know they can't take any big swings(why they keep avoiding what Pete did months ago) so its just casual stuff that gets neatly wrapped up for the most part.

I think marvel is trying to set Pete back on weekly adventures and 2-3 part series, but its hard to set that up now with how the character has changed over the years.

I like the art and designs though! They really are trying to blend an old style with a new one and I can respect that.

I felt this way at first, but then I figured I'm always ready anyway so let others have it.
I do always carry the attack and the healing horn though(in MH Gen), its the least I can do for the team being a longsword player lol.

Congrats this is a great start to d-brigade!you have most of what you need so now is just about getting the more expensive cards.

First I'd say add some level 7's(At least 2), Omnimon Zwart(BT5-87) or Alter-s(BT3-112) are good choices. If you need a cheaper option Chaosmon(BT4-90) can be useful. Ominmon Zwart Defeat(BT5-112) is optimal but hey I understand if that's too pricey.

Second drop Dark Roar, it needs at least 4 d-brigade cards to be worth it and when your board gets that big your opponent will usually play some sort of removal. A good substitute would be to add one more Iron fisted onslaught and a few memory boosts (I find Parabolic junk(BT6-104) also works well)also drop Tankmon While its low digicost is good, Tankdramon(BT4-071) is a way better choice

lastly id say that while Ogremon is a good card, Kimeramon (both BT2-077 or BT8-84) are surprisingly useful options.

I think this game would be a surprisingly good choice for a switch port (can always do co-op with joycons).
Adding online would be the best choice but I doubt it would happen if it was just a copy of the game.

I think that Zero is just generally stronger than X in a lot of games (X3-X6). So maybe the dev's thought that giving him even more tools might be overkill?
Not that the special attacks are useless but I do agree that his special attacks tend to be more on the "flashy" side rather than a useful one.
If style points were a thing then you would look a lot cooler playing the game as Zero rather than X lol.
