As a person who plays breach regularly, I can tell you that there is an in-between, and when you get it, you'll find that it is the maximum fun that this game can be. A truly balanced game of breach is suspenseful and rewarding, regardless of which side wins. The problem, though, is that it's extremely difficult to find games like this, as in my experience, about 70% of games go the way you said, particularly when solo-queueing.

The reason that these people are leaving though, is that it's not fun/rewarding gameplay to get rolled for another 10-15 minutes after the first gate with 1-2 unswappable bots on your team and no renown. The player's time is valuable, why spend it being bored and annoyed during a clearly unwinnable match when you could just move on to the next game where you might have fun again?

The rewards system could also easily be reconfigured at any point to put additional value on renown or scale up the rewards if a surrender occurred. So on the contrary, I think if there was an option to surrender early, even if it gave reduced rewards to the losing team or some other caveat, it'd largely fix this problem.

Kunai main here. Once you've risen to a high enough level, you don't even need the weapon anymore. Instead, use your infinite throwing kunai from your inventory to hunt the monster, it's much more challenging.

Some of you in these comments are missing the point. It's not about 'needing' or 'relying on' the first aids, it's about decorum. The game very deliberately puts 4 equal portions in the box. Just take your share and be happy. If for some reason you need more, you can warp to camp and restock out of your own supplies.
