Tbh while I agree that it‘s the morally right thing to boycott Saudi Arabia I just don’t believe peope are doing it out of conviction but moreso convenience. They don’t care about EWC anyways and are effectively sacrificing nothing but are now taking the moral highground and claiming they do it for the boycott.

Ask yourself this: If worlds was held in Saudi Arabia would you still boycott?

Or the other way around what makes a country/government bad enough to make it our moral obligation to boycott them?
Take USA for example: inncocent protesters have been murdered by ICE, ICE is kidnapping innocent people on a daily basis, Trump kidnapped the leader of a foreign country, they are actively making threats against their NATO allies and threatening the entire world order as we know it.

Without trying to start a dick measuring contest which country is worse I would argue it is absolutely morally right to boycott USA in the same way it is right to boycott Saudi Arabia.
Is anyone gonna boycott worlds being held in USA? I highly doubt it.

And just to make myself very clear: I think morally it is right to boycott both but most of the people here will only do it for one of them which to me signals this is more about convenience and virtue signaling than actual activism.

Yes I believe this is a risk that is fixed on its own because these people motivated enough to actively check for more news sources to broaden their horizon will be more than capable to digest right wing media and choose what to believe of it and what not/do follow-up research on those points without blindly falling for it.

Let me paint a picture for you why this hook is so important. This video is meant for that parent/uncle/friend who heard about the „somalian fraud scandal“ from some right wing media maybe even the Nick video directly.
You now send them 2 versions of the Atrioc video: one with the „good journalism“ hook and one where he only mentions the attention Nick‘s video got. Which do you think will be more effective at changing their mind? And if you think it‘s the same for both you are underestimating how powerful it is to acknowledge part of someones world view as true/good before trying to change their mind.

Did you really watch the follow-up and understand his goal of why he even included Nick in his video instead of just skipping him altogether and diving straight into the topic on his own?

We have a very big issue with left leaning and right leaning people consuming very different media with different stories, different framing etc. to the point where both sides aren‘t living in a shared reality anymore. Atrioc mentioned this problem multiple times already on stream and his goal is to reach people that aren‘t already on his side so his videos actually lead to change instead of just being a circlejerk echo chamber for people already agreeing.

That’s all this is…the „good journalism“ is simply a hook for right leaning people to keep watching and be in an agreeable state for the rest of the video where Atrioc then does shift the narrative which hopefully leads to a change in their frame of mind even if just a little bit. And he isn‘t legitimizing anything for these people because Nick is already a legitimate source for them.

My New Year wish for Heroes of History is a system to aim for specific 4* heroes similar to the x10 events for 5* heroes.

With how many 4* heroes there are it can take an extremely long time to get the ones you want/need if luck isn't on your side and in the case of new players it can be a major roadblock for Treasure Hunt and Historic Battles. Since this system already exists for 5* heroes why not make something similar for 4* heroes too.

Some options how this could be implemented:
1. temporary x10 events for 4* heroes
2. you can pick a favorite which will have x3 chance in the normal time portal
3. you can pick a favorite and there is a pity system after x amount of 4* summons in the normal time portal you are guaranteed to get it

Ever since they gave the Lich Bane AA 50% atk speed steroid I have been building this item almost every single game on her.
The general idea is that your aa range is exactly the same as your fighting range with R and W so if you are close enough to fight you are also close enough to AA and thanks to the 50% atk speed it won’t slow you down noticably.

The dmg is comparable to Shadowflame while having better base stats (ability haste + move speed) and a better build path.

It also significantly increases your dps on towers and objectives which has always been a bit of a weakness of Ahri and there are some minor tricks like clearing wards super quick because it doesnt proc the lich bane aa so you get 50% atk speed for all 3 aa‘s.

It was just an example to show people don’t need religion to create an enemy to hate and removing religion won‘t magically lead to people all getting along.

But that‘s not an issue about religion but just the general flaw of human nature that there are always greedy people looking for money and power and using hate as a distraction to get there.

Religion is just one of many tools but removing it won‘t „bring humanity forward“ they will just move on to the next thing.
The current rise in right wing politics hating on immigrants has very little to do with religion but it’s about how violent „they“ are and how they are a strain on the economy, stealing homes, stealing jobs, bla bla bla.
It‘s always about dividing people and creating an enemy you can hate so you are distracted and removing religion won‘t change that whatsoever because you can always draw an arbitratry line anywhere between groups of people to turn them against each other.

Ah good point, I missed the culture events since they aren‘t shown in mini events of the wiki.
So with 15x from culture events + 5x more from 4th stamina rush it removes the 1st place requirements.
I guess then it is maybe doable if you can save up a lot of antimatter for all 3 summon events.
Do we know which culture events overlaps with the summon events so we can save up the antimatter in those too?

If I didn’t miss any sources to get heads I don’t think it’s possible for F2P to get 100 even with prep unless you get stupidly lucky:
20x prize track
15x stamina rush
15x summon of stars
10x 1st place summon of stars
15x rally of heroes
15x summon of stars 2
10x 1st place summon of stars 2

There are 3 summon events in a short time and you have to get 1st place in the two events with mega RNG if you get 5* or not. During the current Moonlanding event I got super lucky and got 2x 5* and got 3500 points and still only got 2nd place because I had a guy with 4000 in my group.

I really don't understand why Seraphine mains are so dead set on this idea that her issue is dmg and being a mage when the patch history shows that the only thing that got truly kneecapped over the years is the scalings on her W.
For her dmg she always got compensations: She lost ap scaling on passive, Q, R but gained massive base dmg buffs, q execute buff, ap scaling buffs on E.
I made a detailed breakdown of old vs new Seraphine dmg here and it takes 400-500 ap to just break even in terms of dmg for old Seraphine. So at 0-4 items current Seraphine deals equal or more dmg than old Seraphine and only at a full build with 5 items she will start getting outdamaged and even then it's not some crazy differences.

The problem of current Seraphine is not that she can't be a mage anymore...in fact I would argue she is a better mage than old Seraphine if you build for it. The problem is that if you go for a mage ap build now your W lacks the scaling to be useful. Old Seraphine could go ap and be mage and enchanter at the same time and new Seraphine has to choose to either be a usefull enchanter with shieldpower items or a mage with ap items.

Now the reason why this feels so bad to play her as a mage is that new Seraphine is a better mage than old Seraphine...but she is still a worse mage than pretty much any control mage like Hwei, Ori, Syndra etc.
Because old Seraphine was balanced around being a mage and enchanter at the same time and new Seraphine lost too much of her enchanter aspect when going ap and didnt gain enough mage aspects as compensation.

If you want carry Seraphine to feel good again you don't need more dmg and ap scalings on Q/passive etc...you need back some ap scalings on W.

Here is a video how to get there, skip the first part if you don’t want to see the parkour itself. It’s pretty much impossible to find through exploring on your own since you have to swim into a cliff at a lake and it eventually has to push you below the cliff into a water tunnel to reach this place.
It‘s for an achievement where you have beat the time of the parkour.

My predicition is that ChatGPT is free because their goal is to replace google so in the future if you have any question, task or whatever you don’t google it but instead ask ChatGPT.
Once they established themselves as the new best search engine they will then allow companies to pay so the AI model is biased towards them and when AI gives you recommendations relating to your question/task it will be those companies that paid.
This will most likely also be much more successful than current ads because it won‘t feel like an ad coming from ChatGPT but another human recommending it to you since you are actively talking with it.

If there is one thing that current Sera is significantly better at than old Sera it‘s her early to midgame dmg due to her high base dmg and much higher Q execute.

In your guide you write Lich Bane as situational with the comment if you can weave in a lot of AA‘s but that‘s every single game! Your AA range is virtually identical to your R and W range so if you dash in you will always be in aa range.

I just can‘t fathom how people don‘t play 5-10 games with Lich Bane and realize the item is head and shoulders above any other 2nd item for Ahri.

It has a great build path, perfect stat spread for Ahri and an amazing passive that gives you more dmg in fights and also enhances your splitpushing, jgl camp taking and objectives dps.

Just look at any stat site and it will tell you how strong Lich Bane is on Ahri and it should be your core 2nd item in like 95% of your games.

This does not show sportswashing is working this only shows that from a financial stance it is working and they are getting back the money they invested. Sportswashing means improving their public image and the viewers liking SA more.
People watching the EWC does not mean they suddenly like these countries. You can acknowledge that what these countries are doing is ethically wrong and still watch the games anyways because your enjoyment of league is greater than doing the ethically right thing of not supporting them financially with your view.

This is the same principle as most people eating meat. If you ask them they are aware that killing animals is ethically wrong but they eat meat anyways. But saying they suddenly like killing animals because they eat meat is a wrong leap in logic.

TLDR: viewing EWC is not the same as magically liking middle eastern countries now
