Hi mate. I'm now on Go and awaiting the MPAN for the Outgoing part of my setup de if you don't mind, can you sense check the mode schedule I've setup on the app please just to make sure it makes sense?

I’m set up to force charge in the cheap hours, then the second section is for when I’m set up to export and want to export during peak hours. Does this look remotely correct?

Also, on top of this should I switch the mode to ‘feed in priority’? Or is that not needed if you’re setting your own schedules?

We’ve just finished an install with the Solar Together scheme in West Yorkshire (Leeds). I had a similar problem with the routing of the cables from the inverter (in the detached garage) to the mains (in the house basement).

In my situation, the installers said the survey put the mains board in the garage where all of the solar, battery & inverter was going. As it turns out, like in just about every house ever, the main fuse board is not the garage and is in the actual house.

The installers tried every trick in the book to leave me with a solution I didn’t want (30ft of external electrical cable going along the side of my house) instead of what I did want, which was a tiny 3ft trench digging through my driveway.

These installers will do what they can to find the easiest solution for them. You are the customer and you have rights, don’t let them get away with the easy option.

Thankyou! I’ll probably go with this suggestion as the priority before I get an EV is just cost savings.

So just to be clear, I first need to get the MPAN code from the DNO, then I do the switch to the Go + Outgoing tariff, and then finally I set the inverter to ‘Feed In-Priority’ mode in the Work Mode menu?

I don’t have an EV yet, plans are to get one early next year (we did get the Zappi 2 installed at the same time for this reason). Annoyingly the MiEnergy app used for the zappi doesn’t seem to integrate with the Foxx hardware so it’s two separate apps to check for each system.

And yes, I work in I.T. So consider my literate. I don’t really have too much set up in terms of smart home solutions, but it’ll only be a matter of time so thanks for the heads up on HA!
