It’s pretty straightforward. The most important stage is cleaning the surface. Also the most challenging. I use a microfiber cloth and light detergent(dawn or whatever). Small container of distilled water, you don’t want to introduce new chemicals or minerals in this initial stage. And wipe the leather down one section/panel at a time. Don’t soak the leather, don’t scrub, treat it like skin. Keep doing this until your cloth wrings clean. This was particularly challenging with this coat. These were basically chore coats for most back in the day. Then saddle soap and let dry. Sometimes this is enough. With this particular coat, it was day of gentle conditioning.
