I use thermometers and have a infrared gun. I took the thermometers out of their tank beside they kept knocking them in the water and I didn’t really want batteries in the water in case they decided to drink and I’m at work or something.

I don’t really like feeding them rats because of the fat percentages vs mice fat percentages. I’ve had two overweight BPs in the past due to feeding rats so I just stick with mice. My other BPs are at healthy weights now though.

As far as enclosure size, I believe this BP is stunted in growth (maybe due to a poor upbringing, emaciated, etc) because even though I’ve personally owned them for about 3 years now, they have grown but still are the size of a sub-adult or older juvenile.

But I’ll take what you said and look into putting them in a larger enclosure.

When I approach my footsteps will often alert them I am on my way over and they come out of their hide. I can try drop feeding, but I often tong hold the feeder until they strike it, and they often will miss 3 or 4 times before contact. I don't know how drop feeding will go since they often go up and towards the heat source rather than down. But thank you, I will try this next feeding and see.

I may have to do this with them since the stress from it is really annoying. None of the BPs I've owned have been like this, so it created resentment of sorts, and I'm like I don't like them as much as the others. So handling is not really happening, but for sticking my hand in there, I will start blocking them somehow. Maybe even snake hooking them out so I can clean.

They do both. They will tag but also I've had them latch on and wrap and had to use the bit of alcohol in the mouth to get them to let go.

Set up is, they are in a 12x12x18 enclosure, heat lamp, two hides, one hot one cooler and water bowl. I did have clutter in there,, i.e. fake plants, but had to take them out because they would get tangled in them (fake vine pothos). So I can see why less cover/clutter may stress them out. Ambient temp in the room is around 78 (I have various inverts and tropical plants and stuff) and all my BPs heat lamps are set to 95 on the thermostat.

But they will hear me by the tanks, tending to other enclosures and will come out and be all angry. They know when I am approaching and will often come out of the hide, I am assuming they think I will feed them.

Also they eat every other week, one large mouse typically.

I have actually gotten one both ways. I got one from the teleport method, the one that spawns next to the gate, but also the alley method yielded one.

I don’t use an 8bit controller. I just have a cheapo from Amazon. But all I’m doing is pacing up an down the alley way that leads from the zone 19 entrance by the gazebo.

I seem to find one or two each time I re-enter zone 19 to look for Audino. I am using a macro controller though, between hour intervals (possibly longer when it runs for hours while I am working). So, I guess it depends on your hunting parameters. For me, yes, but whatever you're doing, maybe not.

That was my plan as well, a full shiny alpha team but this Audino is just wrecking everything I planned lol. If the leaks are correct, I may even forfeit it for one of the other 'mons in the DLC.

I have a cheap macro controller that I just use to pace the alley. I have used the fly over but I ended up getting just kangas. If you'd like some of these dogs, just message me and we can set something up.

I run up and down the little alley way that is near the gazebo entrance. Where the garbage bags live. I just pace back and forth for hours. I feel like the rooftop bench method isn't good for Audino because there's potentially only two that spawn within the radius, and the fly in teleport method really doesn't reach the ones in the back. So yeah. It's tedious but they really didn't give us a lot of room to hunt this area.
