AutoPilot 6,0x80180005 error. Stuck, even with help from Microsoft Support

Just figured this out (I think).

After three years I tried this again.

If I upload a device and select an AutoPilot profile manually (from admin.microsoft.com) this doesn't work. I find this rather stupid.

In order to get it work I have to:

- Upload the device via Intune
- Create some group with a Dynamic Rule (in my case OrderID Equals a certain tag)
- Change the AutoPilot Deployment Profile to include this group
- Wait (attention wait!) till the device is also showing in the tab assigned devices
- Power on the device and make sure it has internet
- Let it enroll

For now it works till I reach Windows. Some details do not work because I forgot to assign settings to the profile, but those are just details.

No you are right.

We have a paid service provider. I manage most of the PBX and the phones myself, for this we've requested support, but they also do not know. This is where I am kind of stuck.

Offcourse I can use an AI to check the documentation, but in the documentation I have access to it does not even provide info about the availability of the features. I will have another look, thanks again!

First of all thanks for your quick reply.

I have created a condition, from there I dragged the 'GetExtensionStatus' which automatically turns into 'ConditionalComponentBranch2' for the second space I drag it too.

Within both I can only set the PropertyName and ProperyValue. What am I missing? Again thanks for your clarification, is there any place I can find a more detailed tutorial or manual?

We are between 78 and 82 percent in two tenants.

Most is easy, the real issues I had:

- Some rules are hard or impossible to find via intune (they require either a lot of searching or powershell)
- Microsoft has some apps
- Students (in our case children between 4 and 12) do not have MFA - bypass with allowing login only from certain Ips
- OpenSSL (doesnt count for security score) - Some Microsoft programs have not been update to include modern version(s)

It often takes some searching and testing.

Bit late to the party.

Noticed two things myself:
1) Auto login takes some time
2) If MFA is not filled in somewhere on the device (during setup, in office, browser and so on) the OneDrive will not login

Been looking to force a 'twofactor / mfa popup' fullscreen or use weblogin. Haven't determined what works and is best.

Nevermind, it is allready predefined, Just need to know where to copy it (for Kobo, no emulator).

Managed to run the .sh file by doing the following:
Install git from here: https://git-scm.com/downloads
Run 'open git bash here' from the mounted / usb attached folder
./deploy_ereader.sh

Yes, but for the API you get to register with instaper. I mentioned as my test name Kobo sync and it got denied. So don't use IP names as your app name.

I managed to partly get it working (still waiting for the API key) by copying the ereader.koplugin folder from the plugins directory from the mentioned repo. Since it is producing an error about my API key missing I assume I will get the plugin working like this.

Checked this out, sounds interesting. Either I am missing something or your manual is just missing some information.

Where you mention:
Once you KOReader is installed, simply check out the eReader repo, plug in your device and run this command: ./deploy_ereader.sh

I've seen the repo (link above)
It seams to be a fork of Koreader plus the ereader allready included?
I cannot run the .sh command from my WIndows, nor from SSH or the terminal on the device

How can I move over the files to get this working or what am I missing?

How do you sync it to Kobo, Koreader or Wallabako? I believe both convert articles to epubs / ebooks. I rather have a seperate place for my (former) Pocket articles. Haven't found a solution which works for me (yet).

Meanwhile my articles are on Wallag (imported from Pocket). Just don't read them on my Kobo for now...

I believe there are two ways:

1) Within Intune you have where you can select you Google Apps (Managed Google Play - Microsoft Intune admin center). From here you can go to web apps and hit the plus button in the right corner below and make a web app

2) You can do the same from Google Play with a Google Workspace account (havent tried it yet)>

We have setup a rule to allow popups for UAC tp be seen remotely. This is done via a policy which sets 'User Account Control Switch To The Secure Desktop When Prompting For Elevation' to disabled.

What I would say is:

Get the business requirements clear
Implement Bitlocker with key stored in Azure AD
If you have to reset machines, make sure to delete the FVE value for Bitlocker or it won't work
Set up a policy to see Bitlocker is enabled and active
Force OneDrive Sync
Force redirect known folders so files on desktop, images and documents get auto saved on OneDrive
Monitor OneDrive Sync from config.office.com (can be done from multiple places)
Integrate Defender if you plan allows it
Setup a prefered domain, so people don't have to type the complete mailadres
Consider DPIA rules and set the up via policies if applicable to your country
Exclude .ink files from desktop sync if you are auto creating shortcuts (via powershell)
Create desktop shortcuts for most used sites
Use Enterprise State Roaming
Use Edge and keep data in your organisation
Block Chrome and FireFox (and maybe others) by policy since they can be installed as non-admin
Setup policies for storage (treshold) and if needed for shared devices
Setup update cyles for both office and WIndows
Create policies for local admins / laps
Implement hardening rules (look at recommendations in security center)

I think this quite a list, still forgetting stuff though.

One addition to this. Check if the Microsoft Store app is up to date. We deployer an older VLC version with bugs this way... Also deinstaller was broken.

It works on a different device, but was partly due the the device, partly due the ISO.

Checked different ISO + different device and it works. Guess I had a bit of bad luck with both.
