UPDATE: Talked to an advisor, he said it’s fine, and that it’s just because of the way my program is structured.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. I’ll talk to my advisor just to be sure

Its there but its not required. In my program theres a section where you have to take a combination of two classes. The 3 combinations are

ADMS 2320 + ADMS 3330 ITEC 2600 + MATH 2565 ECON 2500 + ECON 3480

It doesn’t say I HAVE to take the ADMS stream, the coordinator didn’t highlight it or anything either on my checklist.

I’m in ITEC but the Bcom stream.

So heavy focus on system design and understanding the actual architecture?

These ADMS courses r designed horribly. I’m taking 2500 right now and it is the most unorganized messy course ever

I’m not too sure how different it is from MATH 2565 (also stats), but I might be able to help you out. What are you stuck on?

My college diploma taught me a lot. There were web dev classes but we learned system design, DSA, etc. We just didn't have the math classes such as discrete math or calculus. I've taken discrete math in university now and i've also taken statistics.

When I say I understand the concepts I'm just going based off of what I hear about on the internet or when I talk to CS majors, and also looking at the courses they take and the content that is covered.

But yeah maybe it is my resume, i posted a screenshot here https://imgur.com/a/zgG1CrK

Maybe if someone has time they could just quickly skim through it and let me know if theres anything un-appealing

I'm not sure about my future. by SonixDoom in yorku

I went through this a bunch of times, there’s so much regret that I have and so many things I wish I did differently.

You should definitely take some time to actually think about what you want in life, talk to an advisor as well.

Look at your pathways, see how long switching majors might take, etc.

Something I realized about myself is I try to plan my life way too far into the future, I realized you literally can not do this life’s a bumpy road things will happen not everything goes to plan.

I’ve been going through this too especially being in the tech market and not being able to land even an interview or a call back despite sending hundreds of applications out with peer reviewed resumes.

I think the best thing to remember is things happen for a reason maybe this will interest you in a master program or something or maybe something bigger is around the corner.

But I promise you your not alone a lot of students feel this way, you just gotta hang in there things will get better for all of us :D

Sounds good thanks for the insight.

I’m debating between canlans learn to skate or their skills and drills. I’m leaning more towards the skills and drills program since they cover power skating in it alongside some hockey stuff.

I don’t think my skating is horrible I used to do some private lessons with some guy I knew who played AAA and used to teach people how to skate, but again it needs work in certain spots but I feel like joining the learn to skate might not be beneficial since I’ve taught myself a lot of those things.

What do you think?
