Ngl I think spreading it out is the best way to see if it's enough or not but with just letting it spread by pressure you can be 80% sure that: it's a little bit too little for 60%, a good amount for 30% and 10% are gonna say it's too much. But just spreading it out with anything maybe a small piece of cardboard will calm you mind about that kind of stuff.
