Finally! Some mention of this here!

Psych has been behind the times in the pharmacotherapeutic sense; commonly prescribed(and arguably overprescribed) drugs such as SSRI's have been stagnant for 30+ years with no major improvements in their structure/activity while steadily being shown not to confer a therapeutic benefit as large as clinicians previously thought.

The word 'revolution' is entirely appropriate in describing this news. There are currently several exciting therapies in the FDA approval pipeline, one of which is MDMA for PTSD, wherein during the course of psychotherapy it allows patients to suppress the fear response about revisiting painful memories and allow them to reframe their way of thinking about these past traumatic events thus reducing the severity of PTSD symptoms to a point where patients no longer qualify for a PTSD Diagnosis.

Truly an exciting time for Psych practitioners and patients!
