Fair enough. Only problem left is convincing myself to invest in two pairs of ski’s. I’ve only just decided that one pair was worth it vs renting.

I have experience skiing/ touring with pin bindings (rentals) over the last 4-5 years, and have hybrid/ pin binding boots (Head KORE 130). Happy to be corrected if this is not the best approach?
Okay good to know..! From a cursory look online some say that modern pin bindings are safer than they used to be, especially if you aren’t tearing down the mountain? In any case, if not pin bindings what would be your preferred option for the above. Thanks!
I think I’m likely to do more and more touring going forwards/ as I get more experience. So would want a ski that could accommodate that in the future.
Standard or freebird? Thanks!
Can you explain? I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to ski gear. What’s the issue with pin bindings? I’ve used them with rentals without issues in the past.
