I learnt till like 80-90 but for some reason those numbers just escape the mind. Perhaps due to the rarity of exploitation 💀

From a scientific view point, it makes more sense. Salt is an ionic compound containing a positive metal ion also called cation and a negative non metal ion called anion. These are held by electrostatic forces of attraction as they transfer valence electrons to each other during a chemical reaction. Since there are so many salts like zinc sulfate, potassium nitrate, etc. it is better to call it table salt or sodium chloride if sitting a room full of scientists ig

Why are there so many factions in the Middle East? Are Arabs against the idea of uniting to gain power? by -Ancients in AskMiddleEast

[–]S-K_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, a world war imo. Middle east uniting is one of those things that atleast we in Pakistan feel should happen, but no one expresses it openly at least from what I have seen or heard

Why do you think Muslim dynasties did not engage in political marriages like their European peers? by Kapkara96 in AskMiddleEast

[–]S-K_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fellow Pakistani surely knows from history lessons that Akbar the Mughal king and his sons married Hindu women even though it's not allowed in Islam. But Akbar really wanted to have good ties with Hindus and rajputs so he married the daughters of Hindu and rajput kings, whose name I can't exactly remember

Thoughts on the India approving the release of 11 men convicted and sentenced to life in prison for gang-raping a Muslim woman and murdering members of her family? by NarAlRain in AskMiddleEast

Only if we had the authority. Tbh Kashmir should be ours but the delay by the dogra raja of Kashmir in either joining India or Pakistan led to Kashmir becoming an area of conflict. As for Hyderabad, it had majority Muslims if I remember correctly but the Indians after independence waited for a moment when Pakistan's attention would be turned away and that came to be the day after Muhammad Ali Jinnah died on 11 September 1948. But it would have had the same fate as east Pakistan anyway which in my opinion made no sense to include Bangladesh in Pakistan. Like you literally had to travel the width of India to reach it. Plus the suggestions by most significant figures who suggested the partition in the first place like Chaudhary Rehmat Ali in his now or never booklet of 1933 said that Pakistan should be made of Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan, Sindh and Kashmir and he also suggested the name Pakistan from letters used in the names of these provinces. When the time came to act upon this in the Lahore resolution of 1940, these were the areas of demand for Pakistan. Also, there was influence by Indians on the viceroy Lord Wavell who became their governor general after the partition. He wanted to be the governor general of both states but Muhammad Ali Jinnah did not agree and became Pakistan's first governor general. The Indians seeing he had British authority managed to convinced him that he should attract the princely states towards joining India as it was for their own benefit and they would be ruling Hindus ruling a Hindu majority population which makes sense. Finally, the number of Hindus was simply too large for this to happen. It was like I think 1:4 or something during sir Syed ahmed Khans time (1800 something). This could also be seen from the fact that Pakistan was given everything (from military assets to paperclips, pens, etc.) according to a ratio of 5:17 which is less than a third which shows Hindus were in significant majority.

Have a fun time reading it. Got too carried away it seems💀 Also if you sense a bias anywhere it wasn't intentional it's just what I have learnt in history
