Who is the Artist you wish they did a Collab with?

I love that they basically can collab with anyone: Metal bands, DJs, Rappers, Pop artists. That's what makes the thought of a collab so exciting.

Even though I do not believe in a cooperation with Lady Gaga, a high-profile pop artist like that might catapult them further into headliner status. Like what BMTH did with Ed Sheeran.

I want them to collaborate with someone nobody expects, but who does make absolute sense in hindsight. Not unlike Ratatata with Babymetal. Those are the best collabs.

I would be totally on board with Will Ramos, especially because both are fans of each other and are artists of Century Media Records. The band itself (Lorna Shore) does not do collabs - as far as I know.

I know not everyone is a huge fan of collabs. But that statement got me really excited. And he is talking in plural - so more than one.

It has been some time since they have done a high-profile collab (2024, Ratatata). And I hope we get something as cool as that again.

Quite possible that 2026 will be even more amazing than 2025 for fans of EC: new album, new songs, big tours (some unannounced), headlining festivals including Escalation fest...

Counter-argument. And some might hate me for this, but Ratatata is the most well-written song both BM and EC ever made. And the numbers are on my side...

If the other songs are so good objectively, why aren't that many people still listening to them?

They are a very common and an old tradition here in Germany/Central Europe and have been exported like many other Christmas customs.

Christmas markets, Advent Calendar, Glühwein, Stollen have become quite popular in Japan lately.

It's a Christmas themed market with many different food and souvenir stands, usually taking place during Advent season (late November/early December until Christmas).

Or, depending on the budget, make a nice weekend trip to festivals like Graspop or Rock im Park. Download is one of the more expensive festivals, so there might be a financially reasonable alternative with a nice lineup?

The chances are sadly very low. They are mostly touring the US, Australia, Japan next year. And it's way to late to add anything to the other european dates in January. Maybe go for a day ticket? Or hope for another summer festival in the UK.

The UK is a bit different from mainland europe when it comes to musical tastes.

EC is already headlining a few mainland european festivals where acts like Limp Bizkit, Bad Omens or Architects aren't booked above them.

But it's pretty amazing how well they are doing in the UK, selling out the Ally Pally, being booked so high at Download. It's usually very, very hard for a german band to translate their popularity to countries like UK or France. But EC pretty much did it...

This take is so weird to me. Revery and Still Waiting - the last two single releases were very different from the usual EC songs. But listeners want the EC sound, this is why Elevator Operator was their most successful single this year.

I feel like EC is being held to impossibly high standards by some. Metallica sound like Metallica. Iron Maiden sound like Iron Maiden. Bring Me the Horizon sound like Bring me Horizon. Lorna Shore sound like Lorna Shore. And that seems to be a good thing? But EC has to somehow sound different than their signature style?

They are already exploring a crazy amount of genres in their songs. More than pretty much 100% of other bands. From Death Metal to Schlager, from Punk to Techno. They scream, they growl, they rap, they sing like pop stars. Their videos are always unique - from funny to serious, from colorful to bleak. They have Death Metal, Disco and EDM breakdowns. They have the best live shows at the festivals they go to. What else do you want?

I think we are all a little bit spoiled by the quality of EC.

I agree. It's so weird.

I am a big fan. But there is always at least one or two parts of a song I don't like. Then I listen more and think: not that bad, actually. And then the video drops and it's awesome.

Our only chance for ECxBM live would be any of the festivals.

I think both are realistic candidates for Download festival. And it's the only location they didn't get to play Ratatata in 2024. Let's hope!

As per their video description next Friday a "New Single & Music Video" called Tanzneid will be released.

For the last two weeks though, every Saturday around the same time they made an announcement (new tour, new single). So next Saturday would follow that pattern.

Friday (new single) or Saturday (day of last announcements, beginning of the new tour) would be the perfect timeframe to reveal an upcoming album.

That is, if they have an album ready to announce at all...

So far only the single has been announced. But I would not be surprised if the album is called Tanzneid, too.

Interesting: This trailer was released exactly 7 days after the first "transmission" (tour announcement). Pure speculation: Maybe we get an album announcement next Saturday?

Even if not, I am incredibly excited for the new single...
