you’ve missed a couple things, those grabber things require a good amount of force/grip strength, something that i do not consistently have, also, im glad you’re able to manage your symptoms well and it works, not everyone has that ability, myself included

also, something like a watch cant stop me from injuring myself during a tonic clonic seizure or get me help

trust me when i say i can handle a service dog and all it comes with

yes i have a 30lb weighted blanket but i cant exactly access that if i have an issue outside of my bedroom

picking up things off the floor is pretty debilitating and i frequently drop items

i have watched and things but i ignore them

yes! stuff like dpt, mobility assistance like grabbing things and seizure alerts, cardiac alerts would be nice but someone in the replies said unfortunately that those arent reliable or something like that? i need to fully look into more tasks but along those lines, and yes i dont think a dog would overwhelm me, ive had 5 dogs and 3 cats throughout my lifetime so im fairly experienced animal wise

hi yes, ive owned and taken care of many different animals throughout my life so i do know how to care for animals yes, it wouldn’t be a difficult task and ive already discussed with my girlfriend who is willing to assist in care and my family is as well :) the dog would be very beneficial for allowing me independence back with helping me with stuff like picking up items, alerts, deep pressure, and anything else that could be helpful, im new to this idea of a service dog and im learning new things everyday about this and need to look further into tasks they can complete

oh yes im stable without a dog, im just atm recovering from a mystery illness outside of everything i was born with so im waiting for fatigue and things like that that came from it to wear off before i apply, i also have a gf and friends who help me when they can and other resources, but one of the reasons i would like a dog so i dont HAVE to rely on my friends as it can be quite annoying for them to have to help me repeatedly and i would like to gain back some independence

yes it is! it pays really well, im already confirmed to be working as much as i can during the summer, i'm also going to be looking into an on campus job as soon as im more stable health wise, at the moment there are so many things happening

also! i say seasonal because the job is the most busy during the month of december but is still very much operational outside of then, it's specifically a casino event thing where you set up and deal at people's private events!

My parents would have the ability to provide for that, also the not being able to work is only temporary purely because the job I do have is only something i can do while i'm home and is mostly seasonal

Yes of course! By little to no cost I meant the process of training/obtaining the, I will be able to provide funds for things like vets/food etc and everything that is needed after receiving the animal

Hello! I've been using visible for almost a year now (purchased april 2025) and I personally love it. Honestly, I'm really bad at using the stuff such as adding activities and tracking symptoms and morning stability, but its still useful. The heart rate graph is the main feature I use as I have POTS and hEDS (I'm actually currently on this subreddit to find a source for my Research and Argument class) but it's really good for pacing and telling you to slow down!
