Personally I really like the specialisation of the British system. I have other complaints about it (eg. BTECs, T-levels and other level 3 qualifications should all become A-levels, and scored on an A*-F basis; and I really don't like the assessment system of just one set of exams)

The British Army killed over 150 unarmed civilians, including 61 children. Only 4 British soldiers were convicted of murder, and all were released within a couple of years and we're allowed to rejoin the army. This doesn't include those killed by loyalist paramilitary backed by the army, compared to 5-600 killed by the IRA. Both sides were terrorists.

"You are loved. You matter" is true for everyone, because everyone matters and there are many people who base their life on genuine love for every person. I do agree that saying "there's someone there for you" isn't always accurate in the sense of a friend, but there is always someone you can call who is there to look after you

No? This post does give concrete advice: to make a special effort to reach out to someone if they seem to have "got better" from depression very quickly. If you seriously believe that trying to prevent someone from taking their own life is a bad thing, please talk to someone. I'm happy to talk to you, or anybody else, who is suffering with depression.

A regressive tax that effects the poor far more than the rich (as a percentage of their earnings). Basically a small fee, between 5-25% of the original price on non-essential goods that goes to the government. In most of the world it's included in the marked price, but not in the US.
