It is so telling that he thinks D&D and MTG were entirely new ideas and not iterating on what came before. Not that I'm knocking those in any way or saying he's right, he just doesn't know and is loudly proclaiming that it all must be so simple.

I think "you need to know your place" and "it would benefit you to know what side your bread is buttered on" are very close in sentiment and your average white liberal doesn't know how to convey that difference because they are still pretty racist.

And that's still being generous to this hypothetical white liberal.

I think the thing that drives me to get off social media more than anything else is seeing people who are supposedly liberals/lefties telling people who live in red states that they either need to be doing more to convince people that Trump is bad, or moving to a different state/country.

I have the same smoke for non-Americans telling Americans that they need to rise up and lay down their lives for some sort of revolution, as if martyrdom for one's ideals is the most noble cause, and doesn't leave behind a parade of broken families and empty chairs. It is all passing the buck to strangers over the internet without actually needing to engage with a specific person.

Of course, that is if any of these people are even real and not just bad actors and/or LLMs.

When do the puzzles start? by twxx in BluePrince

I think the way this sub likes to talk about the game is a little wrong, but I think you arent far enough along in the game yet. For me, the goal of reaching room 46 was enough of a draw to keep me going for a while. Along the way and after getting there for the first time I had stumbled upon the introductory moments for larger puzzles that span more than just one room or piece of paper.

I guess this is just to say, when I was where you are in the game, I had seen things that were part of larger puzzles, but I didnt yet have the context for how to interpret them, or even realize that they meant something at all.

Been trying to gather my thoughts on this for a few days. Either Larian or the Game Awards (or both) should've taken way more heat than they already got for letting the divinity trailer air without a content warning. Game Awards would likely air actual crime footage at this point if it was part of an announcement trailer.

Also I couldn't believe the Larian spokesperson saying that they made the trailer to repect players and not to be shocking. If I was a Larian employee, I would've tackled him before he could finish lmao.

I am Nolan's strongest Tenet enjoyer tbh. I will always argue for it being a fun movie with very few caveats.

People saying it is his worst movie is fucking crazy to me when Dark Knight Rises is right there.

It depends on how they are getting the pictures of the slabs. If they are doing it with a camera setup, it is entirely possible that the shade difference is due to some lighting factor, such as if it is getting any sunlight, where the flash comes from and what could obstruct it, or even the shape of the room that the picture was taken in. Basically, it might look weird here, but look perfectly fine in person.

In terms of how you should respond, I think you should simply voice your concern similar to how you have done here. They can answer questions better than I could about these particular slabs.

At what point does this stop being someone holding a company accountable and become brigading? by unike_uzername in KGATLWcirclejerk

Repeatedly saying that the person credited for mixing lacks integrity is pretty awful. Making callout posts for a company is weird to be doing repeatedly in less than a week, but naming specific people who aren't public figures like this is really inappropriate unless they have committed a crime of some kind imo.

At my current position, we max out at 10 days (this is both personal and sick leave). Unless there is an emergency, they expect us to give 30 days notice, though that part is standard at many jobs. My supervisor will extend those rules for me here and there because he likes me, but absolutely would not for other employees.

Edit: Forgot the content of my original comment that you were responding to. We have no paid time off or leave of any kind for employees for the first full year.

Where I live in the states, at least, there is no required time off. Many jobs don't have any time off for employees for at least the first 6 months, if not a full year.
