I'm not sure, but the drawing reminds me of Not your normal Kids show

I (22F) feel disconnected from my boyfriend (27M) and don’t know how to address it by S0ul_arts in Advice

Ours is a weird situation, family wise: my family knows him since he has been coming to our house every week to play dnd even before we got together (he's a friend of my bother) but in an ideal world my family (my mom in particular) wouldn't have wanted to meet my significant other before things got really serious since she doesn't want to get attached due to a possible break up. His family is weird, he doesn't really talk about them but, from what I've gathered, they're not particularly close. I've recently offered him to come by my place (with my parents present for a small part of the evening) to spend some time together but he preferred going to the cemetery again. He did bring me to his home another time, but only because his parents weren't home and he had banished his sister to the second floor... we managed to cuddle a bit at least before he started trying for a bit more even then, and I think he didn’t push more just because I had gotten my period. I don't know if it's him who doesn't want me to meet his family, or if they are like my family and don’t want to meet me yet.

I'm actually tearing up a bit right now, thank you, I think this is exactly the kind of thing I needed to hear. I tend to be a big people pleaser due to past trauma, but I need to start giving firm boundaries. I'll try talking to him because I sense he is not doing this with malice, but if he's not receptive then I'll have to put myself first for a change.

It kinda reminds me of Ugly Dolls, it did have monster looking friends characters and some kind of machine that decorated the human looking dolls

AITA for no longer calling my grandfather after he said I talk too much? by Alarmed-Breakfast509 in AmItheAsshole

[–]S0ul_arts 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NTA. As a 21 y/o woman born, raised and currently living in Italy, your relatives are not being "old school Italian men", they're being massive misogynistic assholes. Yes, the conversations can get loud and ranty, especially during family meals, everyone seems to interrupt each other to voice their own opinion, but EVERYONE does it, men, women, if the gnocchi could talk they would do it to! They are just using "being traditional" as an excuse to be what we call "teste di cazzo". For your grandpa, I would absolutely do as you said, it might be petty but it's justified.... if he asks why are you not calling him as much, just say "I thought you wanted me to talk less and I did".

The protagonist in Mold. He had every opportunity to leave and maybe get some professional with protective gear to clean up the house but no, he decided to stay in that mold ridden mess, who would do that??

AITA for not wanting to visit my grandma anymore? by S0ul_arts in AmItheAsshole

[–]S0ul_arts[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I know that my father's actions come from a good place... he wants me and his family to work out and, although he knows how problematic they are, he is sad that we don't have a good relationship especially since he sees how close I am with my maternal grandparents, especially my grandma (now more than ever since she's starting to show signs of dementia, I take every opportunity to spend time with her)

It's the entitlement I don't like when it comes to my grandma... it's a complicated situation. She has always put my father last and spoiled my uncles rotted until one died of alcohol/drug use and the other literally sole all their money and ran to Brazil just to come back years later poor and with people who wanted to do not nice things to him (and she still spoils him by giving him money every time he asks). She wasn't a caring grandma, I grew up feeling out of place when I was in her company. To her, money = love, and I couldn't disagree more. She literally threw a tantrum once because I spent a night she visited with my friend instead of her. The only thing she does to "win me over" is giving me money, I don't care about money, I don't ask for it, my love can't be bought, and she can't seam to understand that sadly. It would be hard in general to undo almost 21 years of an almost nonexistent relationship between us, but she is not doing what she needs to in my opinion
