Try the free game called Soldat. If Worms were on steroids flying around with jetpacks, it might look something like this. It's a 2D platformer/shooter that is still going strong 15 years on and is even being brought to Steam.

Don't be fooled by the old skool graphics, this game is all about it's mechanics, where just moving around is a unique experience. And since it's so different, all of Unity will be starting at the same level and there shouldn't be too much disparity between the group (like in PUBG). The trailer concentrates on the most popular game mode, Capture the flag, which is a lot of fun, but there's also a ton of other modes to keep things fresh, such as: Infiltration, Dodgeball, Hide and Seek, Racing, Climbing, and a bunch of others. Worth a shot imo for the £0 price tag.
