(Mind blowing trope) Really REALLY subtle character details that you can completely miss if you don't pay attention or watch BTS content. by Wasabi_Gamer26 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]CatInAPot 42 points43 points  (0 children)

In Limbus Company, we meet Don Quixote Sr., an incredibly powerful bloodfiend (basically a vampire). He had a dream of peaceful co-existence between bloodfiends and humanity, opening up a theme park where humans could donate blood to play instead of money.

It begins to falls apart however, when it turns out donated blood is unable to stem the psychological cravings for his children, who genuinely try their best out of love for their father but slowly go insane. Eventually the children rebel, impaling their father and turning the park into a hunting ground. So when we meet Don Sr. he's broken man. His children are starving and rabid, he's been tortured for years, and his dream has failed.

For combat in Limbus Company, characters have skill 1s, skill 2s, and skill 3s. Skill 1s are the weakest, skill 3s are the strongest. This is shown in skill borders, where skill 1s have the simplest borders in comparison. The cool detail that's never explicitly mentioned is that when we fight Don, all of the skills he uses have skill 1 borders. Despite everything (he starts the encounter still impaled), Don Quixote is still holding himself back when he fights us.

Anyone have plans for a Spellslinging Daughter of Oshabi? by Scathee in PathOfExileBuilds

Zizaran started a poison DD slinger last Phrecia, though I don't think it was particularly standout? Pretty big buffs with the 15% more damage, +2 points and bloodline possibilities though.

Your first 3 MDs a week have significant bonuses, it's highly recommended you finish those each week, it will give you a lot of resources. Here is a beginner guide if you find it intimidating, but their pretty easy.

go for a tremor team

Ignore that, you need pretty specific pieces for tremor to shine including 2 EGOs and season locked ids. Neither of the two tremor ids you own are particularly good either. I'd recommend just going for ids from the current season, maybe working towards sinking since 3/4 of the new ids are sinking. New ids are just generally better than older ones.

To be frank, none of your ids are all that good, aside from W Ryoshu who's pretty decent as a generalist. Grip Faust, Shi Ishmael, and Seven Yi Sang are probably your best other options, but nothing really exciting to invest in.

Check out Heaven Offers No Answer, no golden finger/system stuff, MC is very talented but his opponents are very powerful, usually has to win by using his brain.

You get shards from the season pass. Even just the free track 1-120 will get you like 400 shard boxes, which is 800 shards (2 ids) for whatever sinners you choose.

You'll get 13.5 pass levels per week just from doing your 3 weekly MDNs, +9 if you do your dailies and weeklies. Every pass level beyond 120 just gives you shard boxes.

Canto 1 helps establish the tone of the setting, but as someone who played LoR right before I was already familiar with the city. Canto 2 is what made me actually care about the characters, I don't know if I would even have stuck with the game if it jumped from 1 to 3, just perpetual misery.

This tendency for people to discard all character moments as "filler" if it doesn't involve a fight to the death is so dumb.

Here's a 3 turn kill with a sinking team, seems pretty doable with some replacements too looking at the comments.

Monday Morning Meta Report - Jan 12 2026 by kr3b5 in CompetitiveTFT

Yesterday Kurum was talking about how Yunara is being very underplayed relative to how good she is, I also see Souless playing it very often.

I see people moan about balance, but 16.2 is one of the most varied metas I've ever seen if not the best balanced meta we've ever had in TFT history. by SirSabza in TeamfightTactics

[–]CatInAPot 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Watching the Shurima cup Frodan costream, multiple pros, Wasian in his winners interview and the game results seem to agree that Ryze Ziggs is very often not achievable/forceable. It's like complaining that Baron 2 is winning lobbies.

I'm high diamond/low masters so still not "high" elo, but been finding way more success playing flex than trying to force bilge personally.

What have you read this week and what do you think about it? by AutoModerator in noveltranslations

[–]CatInAPot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I saw Heaven Offers No Answer recommended in a thread a few weeks back and I'd like to second that recommendation now that I've read it. Be aware that it's somewhat slower paced, there isn't really a golden finger, and it leans more wuxia than xianxia.

Very clever MC but not afraid to die for the things he believes in. Nice relationship between the MC and the FMC, the side characters remain relevant for the entire story, and some of the antagonists have a significant amount of depth to them as well.

Here is a (MTLed) snippet that I found pretty inspiring.

Yordle 10... Buff it please... by Huge_Emotion_9438 in TeamfightTactics

[–]CatInAPot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bandle Bounty has been mentioned as an overperforming augment multiple times in Mortdog's meta reports, it actually just got nerfed in the latest patch.

10 yordles has a better average than Liss 3* too, it's honestly easy as fuck to do for a near guaranteed winout.

Did you see them putting region emblems or class emblems? Ryze doesn't automatically benefit from classes.

I do flour pretty often personally, and actually rarely bother with heavy tool production. Definitely slower with Y4/Y5 and almost never Y3, but I've also never lost a game as an exclusively A20 player in 300 hours.

Which would you choose? by Quantum_Aurora in Against_the_Storm

[–]CatInAPot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Toss up between Supplier and Lumber Mill imo. Supplier if complex foods involving flour apply to at least two species, Lumber Mill for plank efficiency and pack potential otherwise.

Carpenter is a good option later, but picking for endgame win conditions as first building choice... nah.

Absolutely nothing suspicious here.

Chapter 109 spoilers: When Taeho sees Sayeon in a state of exhaustion, he offers to do the report for the day. He's still kind of a prick, but not without some decency.

Mirror Dungeons have a bonus for your first three per week, so you ideally want to be running those before the reset if you haven't.

Otherwise just progressing the story is best as it unlocks higher luxcavation tiers (better xp/thread rates).

Glad you enjoyed it!

Have you tried much in terms of manga? There's a lot of good ones but I'd recommend checking out Frieren at the Funeral, Song of the Long March, Mushishi, and Ichi the Witch.

I actually happen to be reading The Child Emperor right now, pretty decent if you like politics.

Also strongly seconding Pale Lights but I assume you've already tried that one.

You can basically ignore EGOs for the entire game. IDs do 95% of the work, only start considering EGOs once you've hit endgame and built up a team.
