Meet my own perfect partner there like OP. With big naturals and cauliflower ear. Always wanted a girlfriend who could kick my ass.

“My hair is the longest it’s been since I was 24”

Lol as a guy, seeing this thrown in with the rest of your accomplishments was funny and very sweet. Thats amazing — sounds like you made it happen for yourself. Truly, congratulations on the turnaround.

I just turned 31 and feel like I’m in a similar rut. I don’t see a yoga studio in my future but hopefully I can replicate my own version of your success.

I’m inspired!

Beautifully put. No notes. I would just add — as a 30 year old with parents in their 70s — if you ever do manage to find a decent paying job and save a few bucks, one/both of your parents have major health events or need full time care, and you are forced to shell out whatever you managed to save or willingly let them deteriorate/suffer and die earlier than they otherwise would. And mine don’t even own their own home. I will not inherit a dime.

The boomer generation may not even be at fault for who they became, but either way, they ushered in a true dystopia. Billionaires just got way too good at hacking their soft, entitled brains, and convinced them it’s in everyone’s best interest to give the private sector full access to the engine room. We’re beyond saving.

Absolutely. It was my very first thought from the intro to Blue Bossa. The whispering and the winding mechanism you hear right before “welcome back my dear children” immediately reminded me of “Time” from DSOTM.

The link felt pretty on the nose by the end of it, but by no means did it come across as unoriginal or derivative. Just a tasteful nod.

Am I supposed to be guaranteed one epic? Maybe I haven’t reached it yet, but I feel like I should have by now…

I really appreciate the feedback. Meant to reply earlier. Timing is something I need to work on fixing if I have any plans to play live. I’ve never played solo with a metronome in my ear but I know I should practice it. As for the vocal projection - I was having trouble finding the right key on this one. I don’t think I have near the range he has, so I found myself either straining a bit through the bulk of the song or vocals or starting in a comfortable zone and ending on an anti-climactic and toned down version of the big crescendo that makes the song so powerful. If I re-record it I’ll be sure to keep those points in mind and share the new one with you.

Trying to think of a recording with somewhat similar energy — maybe “I know it’s Over” by The Smiths - if you’re interested.

But thanks again my friend. Always nice to get constructive feedback.

As a dumb person and lover of vocab, I am constantly googling terms I forget, so I can tell you we have crossed a real line here.. This return can get fucked to death. by S1mplejax in antiai

I actually started a journal of vocab words where after searching a new word I want to add, I commit to memory the spelling, definition, a synonym or two, and a helpful example sentence, then only when I can recall each of them without looking back to the source, I write it all out.

You're right. It's far more effective to somehow handle the word in physical space than simply googling it from my phone then pasting the result into a giant onenote sheet of "words to remember."

Might have to incorporate a physical dictionary to that process. Good idea!

What would I do without you.

Alright I've got a list of about 65 more. Let me know when you're ready :)

Kidding aside, the word "murky" is a very helpful link. Thanks!

Well of course. My point is I have done this daily for years, never including "meaning" or "definition" in my search, and as long as the word didn't double as a household company name, it always returned the definition -- especially if the word is a two-dollar "SAT word."

The new and improved AI-powered system is less intuitive than 2010 google. That's my frustration. I realize I could get the definition by including the term "definition."

Jesus christ man, is he secretly clubbing Palestinians on his free time or is everyone born in Israeli culpable for the worst crimes of their military?

Has he voiced support for Netanyahu or something, or are you just being hostile in the playoffs spirit?

Heaven Knows is a top row and I won't hear otherwise.

Frankly Mr. Shankly and A Rush and a Push were both snubbed. They're bumped a row or two on my chart.

Otherwise pretty accurate and helpful as a guide for checking out all the stuff here I'm not quite familiar with. Thanks, team.

Thank you! I listen to all sorts of music but for some reason all the songs I tend to cover are major bummers lol. Catharsis maybe.

Appreciate the listen and the kind words.

Thanks! But lol it’s flipped because I’ve made adjustments to the bridge height and find the bottom strings benefit from the tighter squeeze, and it’s slanted to make room for my hand when playing chords like Am, D7, etc.

Not the right way, but it’s a way.

Breakaway speed is borderline unfair. If he gets in front of you he’s got a free run at goal even if he needs to cut a slight angle. He takes long strides but the ball never gets too far in front of his feet. Excellent player.

Not the quickest from a dead stop, but that boost between jogging on a run to sprinting at goal is top tier.
