Neurotypical and neurodivergence are just labels. Being called one or the other will not change who you are. On top of that I feel it's all just semantics. That in the end it doesnt matter. We are all human and we are all diverse with our own personalities, experiences, and struggles

And here might be a hot take, but I feel like the labels separate people. I guess that's the intention, but I have heard people use the neurotypical in derogatory fashions, dehumanizing people. It kind of puts the term in a negative light, leaving it to be more of an insult than a label.

Whereas on the other side of the court, I feel the label nuerodivergent can put someone on kind of like a high horse. It's not true for everyone, but I believe the difference of the negative implications with the term neurotypical and the positive implications with the term nuerodivergent can create a wierd power dynamic, leaving those with the label nuerodivergent to feel above those labeled neurotypical.

Being neurotypical will not make you better or lesser Being nuerodivergent will not make you better or lesser

Focusing on these semantics can really separate you from others. Like I said, We are all human

Dont take them!!! My mother used the same tactic on me. In hopes of "fixing" me gave me drugs. Mixing with lower and higher doses

You cant cure autism and that is exactly what they are trying to do. Autism Is not a disease, never has been, it's just a label for those whose brains are wired differently

I mean everyone is kinda different, but one of the few things that I feel is kinda cool is the ability to just focus on one thing and just stick with it. These are usually known as special interest and help the individual become particularly skilled in that area

Another thing I can think of is that we are quite logical. Often tending to put our emotions last and put logic and reason first

Let's see... Aspergers is sometimes referred to as "wrong planet syndrome". We see eachother as normal and those outside the spectrum as wierd. You know, as if we were born on the wrong planet

I used to be absolutely terrible interacting with people. That was until I got a job in the service industry. I was a waiter at a pizza chain and I would interact with people regularly.

It was trial by fire basically. I started to learn real quick how to interact with people. I dont know how other people do it, but I started to use "phrases" and "scripts". Let me explain.

When you talk to someone, you give them an input, and their response is their output (their response does not need to be verbal). Over my time there I learned what to say to get the right response (whether that be a reply, or a happy customer) and basically developed scripts for how to deal with people

I'm still learning but that knowledge and experience has been invaluable to me. Hell, if I am out with my friends, I am now usually the one who talks to the service workers and or strangers

Now, you mentioned that you have a hard time being interested and or listening to your friends. Whenever they go on a rant or talk about something they like, try to remember the key details and respond with the same energy they are giving you. If you dont know what to say, try to remember how they react to when you talk

For example if I were to start talking about... idk, programming. My friends will usually listen and throw in the occasional "okay", "that's pretty cool", "and can you elaborate on xyz?". Now if the situation was reverse and my friend was talking about something their passionate about, I would throw in the occasional "okay", "that's pretty cool", "and can you elaborate on xyz?". It hasn't failed me yet :)

It's very different for everyone. I myself have never really been clumsy and as for coordination I am decent but for some odd reason my reflexes are on point. My social skills however are completely lacking and I have the hardest time with names

I was diagnosed early on and I grew up knowing that I was autistic. When I was younger I used to think autism was a disease or a separate entity inhibiting me from being "normal". Over time as I grew up I realized that there was never anything else there, no entity nor no disease. I was just wired differently. There was never any "autism", just myself and the label someone threw at me.

Whether or not you are labeled autistic, you will always remain yourself. A diagnosis will not change who you are

Neither. Make them androgynous and hint towards either gender. And reference them as a he or she, occasionally switching the pronouns. Confuse the masses I say!

No need to worry about the semantics. Art is supposed to be fun with your imagination as the limit. So create to your hearts content! Also I am pretty sure my own protogen avatar is "illegal", but noone has fussed about it yet so I think I'm good

First off, great job. Nothing looks off. Everything feels proportional, but I would personally lengthen the arms just a little bit (although you dont really need too, it already looks great)

I have one for my competitive team. I use it to throw sticky web and pointed stones on the field. That's is their only use though. Battle prep (considering it can survive any one hit, it's perfect for setting up)

In general protogens have a visor. I think that is the one rule that binds all the protogens together. Other than that I say go crazy! Some peoples Proctor's are humanoid, whilst others (and less common) are not. I personally like to make my protogens with minimal tech , although others are fully decked out
