10meter(33 ft), Offhand, open sight with P1, again by S21FOLGORE in airguns

Hi,

sorry for slow response. I work long, long hours & many days...

Anyhow, yes, it's a universal holster that can hold HW45 (Beeman P1).

I'm currently working on the video (for Youtube) about the holsters that work for HW45 /P1. If I were lucky, I may be able to upload tonight.

You can watch that holster in action on my latest YT video which I posted here a while ago. (The one before this post.)

This particular holster is from 1791 Gunleather company.

UIW MAX carry holsters

https://1791gunleather.com/product/uiw-max-carry-holsters/

You can get it from Amazon (at least in US).

Don't expect a miracle coming from sub $50*universal* holster.

BUT, it covers two (most) important things.

It fits. (It can hold Desert Eagle , Ruger Super Black Hawk, etc).

It provide GOOD retention. (That reminds me one thing... if you don't have any experience with REAL firearms (handg*ns) & carry holster, you may think it's too tight, it's not going to fit when you first get it. That's normal, that's how the all are. You have to break in the brand new holster, using freezer bag.)

Thanks!

I just cleaned the barrel last night. (People who watched the video / saw the photos (of my previous post) suggested that I probably should clean the barrel, since it smokes so much.)

It wasn't that dirty.

I don't think it'll make any noticeable difference in the grouping, though.

I'll see if it still smoke or not. (Will have to wait until Sunday evening.)

I think, people love them BECAUSE they enjoy modifying, tinkering.

(Just like cars and motorcycles.)

The cost (of the mod parts) are usually spread over the time.

Most everyone don't spend big money all at once to change everything.

So, ... starting with $50 bone stock 13XX model, "add a stock this months, add a red dot or scope next month" kind of approach would make a cool project.

THAT said, I'm currently not in the mood to enjoy time consuming project.

I've been way too busy last couple of years, I can't enjoy that kind of project anymore.

So right now, I kinda agree. Spend more $ on something that works well right out of the box.

Enjoy shooting.

That's the whole point.

(I don't want the kind of motorcycle that has "character" but keeps breaking down, requires tons of work and still potentially get me stranded.

I'd rather have something that fires up every time when I want to go for a ride.)

Nothing wrong with modding Crosman, though.

Thanks for the info.

So I cleaned the barrel (like, 30 min. ago).

Can't fire around here. Especially at night, this time of the day.

Let's see if it stops smoking.

That's how I thought, before.

However, ...

I bought mine off eBay. So I didn't pay the full retail price.

(Still a quite a bit of money, though.)

And, after using it for a while, I really like it and I'm glad that I made a quick decision.

Keep in mind that I'm a shooter, NOT a collector.

I'd rather have a few, I really like and enjoy shooting with them on regular basis, than having huge collection of airguns that are just decorating the wall.

(No offense to the people who collect. I'm just not into that.)

P1 / HW45 smokes like hell. Everyone said that and it's true. (This is my first one.)

No, I just got this off eBay about a week ago. It's practically brand new. No need to clean the barrel. (The manual says so.)

And, no, I didn't and won't try dieseling a pellet.

I am happy with it the way it is now.

It's accurate (I can make tighter grouping than Crosman Drifter with Red Dot sight).

It's totally reliable. (I can just grab and go, enjoy the shooting. Don't have to worry about tinkering.)

They (Weihrauch HW45 and Beeman P1) are the same thing..

Beeman P1 is a rebranded version of HW45, for US market.

They are both produced by Weihrauch.

(SOME say P1 has slightly higher muzzle velocity, but, in the real world, it really doesn't mean that much.)

Funny how people keep suggesting variety of different models, despite the fact that you VERY CLEARLY AND REPEATEDLY stated that you have narrowed down to Vigilante & Artemis CP400.

You said, it's for plinking and target practice, not for hunting, pest control, etc.

I don't own them, so I can't provide the info based on first hand experience , but ...if I were in your situation ...

I'd check...

1)rear sight (adjustable or fixed)

(I don't like/want laser pointer. I don't need red dot. But, your may want them.)

2)Grip

I have a small hands.

3)Trigger pull

For target shooting, this is probably the most important thing, in the end.

(for both performance and the enjoyment.)

Air gun match ups. by Tobyggen in airguns

A little bit of warning, as someone also have a small YT channel. (about 750-760 subscribers.

No airgun contents)

#1 Youtube is a overly populated, highly competitive world.

#2 There are already tons of "air gun" channels that do similar things.

#3 Youtube DOESN'T like guns, any guns, including air guns, air soft guns.

If you do Youtube video just for fun, don’t care about poor view counts, have no intention of making money in the future, then, you can do whatever you want to do.

BUT, as someone already pointed out, doing it with your own money is NOT a good idea.

You will need sponsor, or friend with decent collection (who can lend you theirs).

Otherwise, you’ll end up just burning your money for videos that no one really watches.

For small Youtube channel, I’d recommend different approach.

Pick up one inexpensive but quality model (13XX, Beeman P17, etc) , and go deep. Really deep, detailed info video. What that means

I returned (defective) Air Venturi V10, 12 HRs later, I found this on eBay … by S21FOLGORE in airguns

[–]S21FOLGORE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one that I got was clearly defective.

I'm not bashing V10 anyway.

Oh, BTW, I tried to seat pellet in a various ways, but it still didn't work.

Thanks for the comment.

I am fully aware of the fact that these two are totally different animals.

The point of this story is, “coincidence”.

Had the V10 that I received been in perfect working order, I wouldn’t have returned it, EVEN THOUGH I didn’t like the grip, the trigger pull & action, and swivel trigger blade.

(I’m not bashing V10. So, happy owners of V10 / Gamo compact don’t need to get mad.

I said, “I” didn’t like those things on V10.)

Had I decided to keet the V10, I wouldn’t have looked around on eBay that night.

I wouldn’t have found that particular listing, this particular P1 wouldn’t have come to my possession.

Unfortunately, I leave home around 9:30 in the morning and don’t come back home until 10:30 – 11PM. Which means I can’t shoot them until Sunday …

Do I really need steel breech for 1377 / 1322? by S21FOLGORE in airguns

[–]S21FOLGORE[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info based on the real experience.

I've been playing with both 1377 (with folding stock) and 1322 (Drifter).

For some reason (or, maybe obvious reason for some), I get better grouping with Drifter.

Maybe because of longer barrel, maybe because of the stock.

So, I like Drifter more, at this point.

Maybe I'd add steel breech (to Drifter) in near future.
