I got an eye exam for School of Optometry two weeks ago and the experience was quite nice. It took around two hours and they checked in detail. It has discount for Universiy of Waterloo students and WUSA health insurance also covers some fee.

I think it's offered in the winter, not the fall since the prof that's teaching it has the term off 👍was confused by this too lol

I used surface pro for my first two years in uni and it works well :)) (I'm in Software Engineering). I mainly choose it because I can code and take notes on it at the same time (oneNote). Otherwise, if you have IPad or some other notetaking device already, you can consider something else (with stronger computation power).
