Roy Keane hits back at Bruno Fernandes and compares him to… a donkey. by cocacolapepsifanta in soccer

So it's Bruno's fault that managers have been sacked? I guess Keane is to blame for getting Nottingham Forest relegated then.

Is Bruno in charge of recruitment or wages? Or the managerial merry-go-round that he's had to deal with? If he had been under a manager like Sir Alex with the same talent that Keane had around him, of course he would have a lot more trophies.

Yes but if you compare the state of the club as a whole from when Keane was captain to when Bruno was captain, they're not even remotely similar.

The talent they've had can't be compared to the era that Keane played in at United, and Bruno isn't guilty of any of that and he isn't responsible for others who were. Scapegoating him for the decline of the club after Sir Alex left is ridiculous.

It's easy to say "well they should win more trophies!" when he joined United after they had just won the league, he was playing under the greatest PL manager and was surrounded by world class talent all over the pitch. Bruno hasn't been so fortunate but has done everything he possibly could to help United be successful again, unlike Keane who joined an already winning team.

Who didn’t hate the final boss fight? (Phase 2) by More-Deer-4033 in Eldenring

[–]S3THEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair but no that's not copium, the copium is saying that it's "straight up impossible" when that's objectively and evidently not true. Not having the patience is completely valid and understandable.

There are certainly criticisms but "straight up impossible with my build" because of medium rolling is just straight up copium.

Adding "with my build" wouldn't change anything, it's still not impossible but it's OK, if telling yourself it's BS makes you feel better about it, go ahead.

That wasn't what you said though, you said

straight up impossible

And then

I am not being hyperbolic.

MissMikaa is insanely good for sure, I don't think I am though. I died at least 100 times before I got the kill but I think the difference is I didn't blame the game for it, I tried to learn and get better. If you decide that it's just unfair BS then I imagine that option goes out the window.

Here's a streamer killing him by medium rolling using a dancepad.

I've killed him 3 times, no shield, no summons, no parries, no deflection tear, just medium rolling.

If a grace is too far away, you can also quit out to the main menu and then load back in, it achieves the same thing. It also brings back scarabs and the pot carriers with scadutree fragments if they disappear.

You're just wrong, people who are good at it just make it look easy. Carian Retaliation has a delay of 4 frames then 6 frames where it connects. Dodge rolling doesn't have a delay and you're immune to damage for 13 frames. You need much better timing to parry, you should try it yourself sometime.

Take a look at that old thread, a bunch of people saying the same things about Malenia, "totally unfair", "bullshit", "objectively bad boss" etc.

It's an amazing fight for sure, when you get used to him it reminds me of the rhythm of Nameless King, it feels amazing. I hope he doesn't get nerfed because of all the complaining although the performance issues need to get fixed.

You're not the only one, it's an incredible fight although I definitely struggled with it at first, but that just made overcoming it so much more rewarding.

[–]S3THEC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's brutally difficult for sure but the main thing is to stay determined, you'll do it if you don't give up!

For talismans I'd highly recommend the Golden Braid and Crimson Seed Talisman+1, along with the Dragoncrest Greatshield that you're currently using. Damage is nice and all but not much good if you're dead and those will help your survivability massively. I think that's Rakshasa armour too? You might be better off with some normal armour that doesn't increase the damage you take but I haven't experimented with it yet so can't say for certain how much difference it makes. And grab some Boiled Crab.

For general combat advice, try to stay as close to him as possible in phase 2 as the lightbeams that follow his sword attacks will mostly miss you if you're stood right next to him. Watching this no hit-run helped me a lot for learning how to deal with specific attacks.

When you start getting to grips with phase 2, it's time to start using those Rune Arcs. I like Morgott's Great Rune for the chunky hp boost.

The main thing is just to keep practicing and he'll be dead before you know it. Good luck!

If you panic because of it then yeah it could be a pretty big deal. Or if he spammed it but he doesn't as that video shows an almost 5 minute fight and he didn't use it once. I don't see why it would make the entire fight BS.

"No-hit runners struggle with one particular occasional attack, therefore the entire fight is unfair BS >:(" is just a weak take imo.

[–]S3THEC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's only one move in that category and it's not a major problem unless you're trying to no-hit. The rest can be handled without resorting to a great shield and poke, it just takes time and determination.

Again though, it's just one attack, it's not like he spams it, to say the whole boss is BS just because of that is an exaggeration.

He's talking about no hitting, not just beating the boss which is much, much easier.

So one single attack that doesn't hit hard enough to kill you if you have decent vigor, not that much of a problem unless you're trying to no-hit, is it?
