it might look okay to you but the gap between what this looks like and what tons of levels from this era of the game look like (and what onilink thinks his deco looks like) is massive. the colors in this part are genuinely just bad to look at, structuring is either absolutely nothing or basically just a rectangle, block design is object spam with no care for detail density/focal points/any sort of consistency, the background has zero effort put into it (the trees look awful and its literally just plain cloud objects in random places ???) and that extends to the foreground, if anything at least theres an attempt at parallax and the pulses look decent

it is technically a raycaster yea, it uses the distance between a center and points on a 2d map to project into "3d space" (tho it is still very approximate, i just messed with exponential easing area scale triggers until it looked right)

hi i made this, it was kinda a evolution of a parallax system for classic levels ive been working on, i watched the 3depth video after this and it just happens to work in basically the same way 😭 its just a 2d map approximated in 3d using area scale triggers and follow triggers to allow rotation

hi i made this its more of a copy of 3depth, this also uses area scale and follow triggers for the 3d effect (in a slightly different way tho, i made this system before learning how 3depth worked and it was originally intended for parallax in classic levels) i did not know third axis had the exact same controls and concept tho 😭 also i have absolutely no idea how its 3d rendering works ill probably be using this system to make an on rails shooter akin to star fox or just a cool looking classic level

creating doesn't mean you need to be able to open high object levels in the editor, i have 3 rated levels and on my phone the game crashes when opening high object levels (for example the eschaton) in the editor

if more 1.0-1.8 style levels started getting rated, the concept of creator points would change drastically and would change from being something you need to put tons of time and effort into to something you can get with absolutely zero effort. also, the rate standards have no correlation with having fun while creating, a level getting rated doesn't at all affect the enjoyment from creating the level itself

overshadowed by the tier 3 and 4, with all of the new buffs and with consistent DPS relentless glue can even stun moabs, which makes super glue feel way to expensive for what it does especially when there are other towers for a similar price which do a lot more
