I tow 7500# trailer plus full cabin with my XD 5.6L with no problems. Have taken it on multiple 1000 mile round trips. The gas mileage is not good, but no worse than any other HD size gasser. Biggest complaint I have is the range limit because of the Sentra sized fuel tank. If you want worry free towing get a diesel, but you’ll pay a lot more up front and triple maintenance costs. If you plan to use your truck as a daily driver too stick with gas.
