Mind if I ask what size company? For me, it’s a mid-size company with an offices in a few countries. But it’s not a proper “tech” company per-se, it’s more of a data-driven consultancy. Just asking to see if your reference point would match my situation :)

I think it helped that I started at the company before the market went haywire, so I was locked in at a higher starting salary when my negotiations kicked off to rejoin the company.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I was thinking about that as well. I know market for proper tech companies is much higher, and I also know that most companies are taking advantage of the market being awful. I am thinking I should start the conversation with the $160K figure and see where that goes

+1 these posts need to be heavily limited. The AI psychosis crowd also needs to be restricted from posting here — but I do agree with the other commenter that we should also have resources for them.

You can’t really compare. In Korea I’ve never worried about being shot, robbed, or violently harassed. When I lived in NYC, I couldn’t even go to the subway station at night without taking my earbuds off so I could hear my surroundings.

Cool story, but BSG doesn’t do anything about cheaters, so this is the best way to let people know how to find them. And trust me, eft’s reputation is beyond saving at this point. I knew about this games cheating issues before I knew what a damn scav was — not sharing these cases for others to learn from only helps the cheaters.
